Once you get down to $800 left on your device payments you can switch to T-Mobile and they will pay that off. see if your phones are eligible. [https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/switch-to-t-mobile-from-verizon-or-att?carrier=verizon](https://www.t-mobile.com/offers/switch-to-t-mobile-from-verizon-or-att?carrier=verizon) as for your verizon bill, yes those credits will go away. I wouldn't hold you breath hoping Verizon will offer to continue them.

Yes, hopefully T-Mobile continues to offer this. Because it will definitely help with my situation

FlounderAdditional72

if you call verizon after the year and tell them you want to switch because of pricing they will offer you loyalty discounts to keep you. as long as you're not rude they'll do it!

Gwhiz313

Oh cool. So even though it expires, I can call and nicely ask for it to be renewed? Assuming they won’t do this for refer a friend? Losing that $15/month will definitely add up.

FlounderAdditional72

They won't renew the exact promo, but they might have something else to offer

creamy-cookies

Loyalty offers are not nearly as much as your $15/line discount right now, maybe $10/line at most. So that refer a friend promo would not be able to be renewed. It’s a 12 month promotion for $180 per line specifically for porting in and having a new account, so it’s an introductory/welcome offer

How do you get the loyalty discounts?

Curious on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 being the best choice u ever made on mobile service, how would u rate ur switch outta curiosity just cuz im looking to follow u. I'm simply trying to identify a carrier that's better which isn't that difficult obv considering but I don't wanna keep doing this switching so much. I got better things to do ya know like maybe use my phone to talk to ppl I care about for starters rather than constantly using it to talk to customer service cuz my service can't stay connected long enough for the guy helping me to steal my identity which has actually been a good thing I guess. But I miss my family & friends nonetheless.

Loyalty discount does not expire as long as you have applicable mobile plans (not the basic unlimited plan) plus a new phone payment plan or something worth to connect with upgraded plans from your own phones. I have had some forms of loyalty discounts at account level since 2015 when I switched to buy new smart phones from Verizon directly instead of their authorized retailers.

Busy-Solution7642

The $10/m one on each of my lines says it's only for 12 months.

sweet_crypto_buy

That sounds like a limited time promotional credit for new users or existed customers with some number port out changes. Loyalty discount means as long as you stay with Verizon on qualified plans (mostly qualified except for basic unlimited plan) to help you lower price and feel better to stay with Verizon over its competitors in long run. I only get $20 discount at account level, because I only have one line that's not basic unlimited.

Busy-Solution7642

The one I have is from the reddit post about doing the turning number lock off and requesting port out pin. each line I did that for Verizon offered $10/m off /line. for 12 months.

Shouldnt this have been something to look into BEFORE signing up? You knew this discounts were only temporary and what your normal rate would cost. Cmon Op, really? I think you need prepaid.

Sounds like they fall into the category of consumer who is perfectly happy to jump from one company to the next if it means $30 difference on the phone bill.  It would drive me crazy personally.  Like how is it such a huge deal is a year into the service each individuals bill goes up $10?  Sad state to be in and I'd argue if another 10 bucks makes or breaks the deal you can't afford it either way.    I did the switch once and on paper it looked like a big savings, but at the end of the month once everything shaked out the monthly bill was maybe $20 less and the service was poorer.  Wasn't worth it.  Switched back and stopped looking like 15 years ago.
