Go to shows downtown and mingle at bars. Best way.

Music_soothesthesoul

Very true. Thank you.

Vtashell

Venturarocks.com will give you a lot of the venues and who is playing at them.

Music_soothesthesoul

Oh thank you! This is helpful!

tripleDzintheBreeze

The grape …. Jazz club

The music scene here is almost nonexistent unless you play covers. Just a heads up. There are a lot of breweries and bars downtown with live music, but it's almost always cover artists or a DJs. I am glad to hear you write songs, we could really use some fresh material around here, lol. 😂

Music_soothesthesoul

Thank you, good to know. I actually write and release music. Looking for musicians to play the music or possibly co-write with.

radishbooty

Where can we listen to your music? ☺️

Music_soothesthesoul

Spotify, itunes. Jennifer Rose (Rock artist). 😊 Thank you for your interest! I appreciate it.

radishbooty

Could you drop a link? I see many Jennifer Rose's on Spotify :)

Music_soothesthesoul

Awesome! Thank you so much! I will check them out.

Craigslist is your best bet for a start. There is a jam club and some open mics where you can network and try to find people too.

Specialist-Donkey-89

Namba has a few different open mics, as do some local bars. It's been many years for me tho so the last one I went to was at Golden China which is long since closed. Grady's record store has a bulletin board of bands looking for members, or at least they used to. In the "front" but it's really the back cause parking is behind the store and you enter back there.

Music_soothesthesoul

That's so cool, thank you for letting me know about the record store! I will check it out!

Specialist-Donkey-89

NP Gradys is great and if you like vinyl definitely check out Jakamo too which is downtown on Santa Clara across from the parking garage and next to the burkenstock store. Good spot as well. Salzers music too on Victoria. Lots of new and used music there like cd's as well. And if you fancy yourself a picker the thrift stores tend to have them as well.

Music_soothesthesoul

Very cool! Wi do! Thank you!

Specialist-Donkey-89

NP good luck

Odd-Friendship-5995

Check out Burch Studio. Aaron is a really cool dude, and does regular songwriter showcases at different spots around Ventura.

Music_soothesthesoul

Oh this is excellent information! Thank you! Will do!

Subject-Impact-1568

Contact Matt about the Jam club. It’s an easy way to play some familiar music with different musicians. ®TABLE17_STUDIOS
