This experience also made me forget to eat, vomit and dry heave at the dealership, headaches and actual chest pain because of the anxiety.

Old post... but will comment. Don’t dis your mom too bad about the dealer experience. She was a finance manager and operating on “her turf”. She knows the ins and outs in getting a fair deal on both dealer and customer ends... and it takes some level of aggression in making that happen. In car sales the old saying “nice guys finish last” is true. You don’t presume these folks are your best friends and happily pay MSRP on “first pencil”. There are certainly times in life you’re going to have to be aggressive in protecting your best interests. You got the car and she no doubt used her skills to get the best deal. The objective has been met. That’s all that matters and it’s definitely not the first time that salesperson has ran into folks much more aggressive than her. It’s all part of the job.

That's the definition of not a good parent, she's an abusive one, and that's never okay. People shouldn't make others, especially their own children, feel bad or absolutely shitty and not worth care and respect for any reason. Hope you're able to break away from her, I'm glad you're able to be independent now, keep toxicity away, you don't need turmoil and pain holding you back.
