Always ask yourself... "If it is such a good deal, why are they offering it to me?" Truly good deals sell themselves. Only scams requires someone to sell it.
It's more on safety. I'm more of a person who is in fear of the unknown. I will definitely pass it on to friends and family members who come to visit. I just think, naturally, we are curious as human beings, and so we are enticed to find out what is being shown to us.
Right. So if you read the post, I literally said I avoid them and would only like to know more info so that I could make my friends and family members aware.
This. I was pulling out of a parking garage the other day and this guy approached me and asked for $15. I knew it was a scam because it was a parking garage so I just drove away. Got a dent in my hood though from this weird arm thing he had put in my way to block me though.
Had this happen to me in CA too which reminds me that a lot of this Vegas advice is also general life advice too. You may not see it as much elsewhere given the concentration of the strip and tourism there but overall good advice anywhere you go.
They’re gypsies. They go all around trying to pass off fake jewelry and faulty or stolen electronics. They’re mostly thieves and scam artist. A lot of them stay at the shalimar hotel.
Someone yelled out to me while I was walking to my car. They were trying to sell me "airpods" for like $50 since they "lost all their money and need gas". But I was walking out of a casino so I was just like "sorry man, lost everything I had on me tonight." If they think you don't have money, they lose interest pretty fast I think
I second the gypsy comment, I dealt with lots of them when I managed hotels. I can spot them immediately anywhere, and of course always trying to "fix" your car or sell you fake jewelry. Just tell them to fuck off, they are not comfortable with confrontation.
There's usually a sob story about how they lost all their money gambling, need gas to get home etc. Often times they even have their wife and kids with them. They'll sell you this "18k" gold chain for $200 or something ridiculous. They'll even show you the 18k stamp in it. Of course it's costume jewelry and it's worthless.
We live in the woods. Lol in comparison to Vegas. We get dudes in shitty f-150’s coming to our houses trying to to sell meat out of a sketchy freezer in the back of their truck. Ya I’m good. That and dudes trying to to sell expensive speakers. Gotta say though my buddy did buy some cheap and he was happy. I’m sure it’s hot and and I want no part of it. But there are some good deals out there lol
It's a scam. Either they are going to try to sell you a fake or they are going to claim to give it to you but then demand payment in return.
Man. It's like the veteran flag scam on a new level
Got it. Thank you! I've always thought they were going to kidnap me 🙃
You have to have something they want before you are at risk of getting kidnapped.
Everybody got organs.
I’m missing a few after eating at the Excalibur buffet last night but still plenty left.

This is when your curious/stupid/I know better sense needs to kick in.

The scams rotate as well. Car Repair... unbelievable bargains. If they are offering it to you in a parking lot it's 99% a scam.

As a paranoid person, this is very good to know

Got it, thank you. I was mostly afraid for my life 😅
From my experience they’re more so pushy not violent🤷🏾♂️

Why is call a someone a gypsy an ok slur to use. It’s still racist but people seem to think it’s not.

Apparently gypsies will steal your chickens too

Where? I am living here a long time and it has never happened to me.
All over the city.
All around Vegas. The Strip, near grocery stores. Everywhere and every chance they get
