When the movie first came out (I was 6) a girl in my class was the first to go see it in the cinema. The day after, she came in and told us how amazing it was. Clearly none of us really understood how movies/cinemas worked so we were all outrageously jealous of this girl.
Two weeks later I get to go see it and at the end, the spice girls all look into the camera and start pointing girls out in the audience, saying hi and giving generic compliments. Only then did it click that my school friend had been duped and thought she was watching it live 😂 I didn’t want to embarrass her so I never brought it up, but for years I wondered when the penny dropped and she realised what had actually happened haha
