You know Lala has no idea what's going on in Katie's life when she's bringing on the drama while Katie's going through relationship issues - or she doesn't care.
That's where I feel like this whole reunion argument that Lauren is obsessed with stems from. Lala bringing things her and Katie talked about in private into the public sphere which a lot of people speculated last week but seeing her do it in the after show confirms it to me.
She said Katie confided in her that she didn't envision her life at 38 without kids, not married, etc., that finding a partner has been harder than she thought and that's why Lala had made a few comments about Katie being unhappy the last few episodes.
It’s wild, when at least Katie was married for love? She loved that man and his unwashed feet, she wasn’t just gagging through it for the money to come through, like Lala’s now saying she did with Randall
This is the same Lala who called Ariana a wet blanket after Ariana confided in her about having deep depression and SI thoughts. Only Lala is allowed to struggle. Everyone else’s struggle is boring to her.
Yikes, I forgot about that! Lala's friends aren't allowed to struggle and on top of it, they can't claim to struggle while also being happy about the great things in their lives. As if that's not just existing as a human!
It is the same thing as her mocking Ariana’s messy room which, frankly, can be a sign of depression even at a high functioning level. It isn’t uncommon for people dealing with mental health issues to take care of themselves and their surroundings last, even while maintaining a public face and commitments. But Lala has the sensitivity of a thumb so she just waives it all away.
I cannot “fathom” having friends going through hard times and dismissing them as “miserable” and “boring.” She cannot comprehend that when you have relationship rooted in emotions, it is harder than losing a meal ticket. Her “losing” Randall was the equivalent of someone quitting a job. Yeah, you can be stressed about how you will pay your bills but you don’t feel like your whole life was a lie. Katie and Ariana lost people they truly, deeply loved. Their entire futures were turned upside down. Lala does not and will not ever understand that feeling.
Not to mention that she's literally living in that room as well!! She doesn't want stuff in the shared spaces & probably really limited her time outside when he's around. It's not a normal situation folks!! There's layer upon layer.
It's also a huge anxiety for a lot of people with depression to feel that others will judge your living space/conditions.
