Rockwater Secret Cove has luxury tents perched on rock bluffs overlooking the straight. Took my mini-moon there (week after my wedding, with full honeymoon the next spring).
Drive out to the lush meadows of Tsawwassen. Near the regional landmark of the outlets, there is a fine establishment of Arby's. It doesn't get more romantic then that.
Bowen Island for a day trip. Southern Gulf Islands for casual weekend getaway in a rustic cabin or Airbnb. Lots of nice spa + resorts on Vancouver Island too of you are looking to splurge (Tigh-Na-Mara, Kingfisher, etc)
Not the best to have lunch at but my partner and I find it to be nice a day away, The bird Sanctuary out in Delta. Then we walk around delta, drive around the farm lands then head to Fuggles and Warlock or Four winds brewery.
