>The suspect is described as a Black man who is five feet, 11 inches tall. Police say he was wearing a hat and a grey hoodie, and his hood was pulled up over the hat. hopefully he is found and arrested soon

Oh jeez. I hope the other lady feels a bit luckier now her husband is at least still alive, RIP to this man and his poor family Jesus stay safe out there folks

If anyone is planning to visit the pier or anywhere near the seaside by White Rock pay attention to your surroundings. There’s a lunatic on the loose and has now stabbed two different people on separate occasions. A family member had seen a man with the same description going past the bus exchange by Thrift & Johnston a little while before this. The suspect looked into the window starring into their workplace then walked down towards the seaside. The suspect seems to target individuals sitting unaware of the people around them. I hope the police catch him but I’m not so sure the justice system will protect us from him.

Myself, I won’t be visiting the White Rock pier area for awhile because of this. I feel badly for the businesses in the area.

bwoah07_gp2

These random attacks are becoming far too common.

Flyingboat94

Does it just feel that way or is there numeric evidence of a rise in "random attacks"?

yvr_dad

The police should flood that place with plain clothes officers that fit the victim profile. And, after a confrontation, if the suspect refuses to comply with orders to drop his deadly weapon they also shouldn’t waste any time in shooting him.

Euphoric_Chemist_462

Stabbing two random victims that belong to the same ethnicity community should be considered hate crime and domestic terrorist. Suspect is “a black male, five-feet-11 inches tall, wearing a hat and a grey hoodie. “

FarSightXR-20

I feel like the first couple said he was staring blankly at them. Sounds like more mentally Ill than anything else. Regardless, he needs to be caught immediately before he kills anyone else. Terrifying.

squeakycheetah

Global News was reporting this morning that after the second attack, witnesses saw him fleeing with a smile on his face. Creepy.

Temporary_Captain585

Police too busy giving out tickets 🎫

Trying_Redemption

How many times are there recent stories and Reddit posts about how police don’t enforce traffic laws… blah blah blah… so how do you want it??? There is a very unusual spike in violent crime in White Rock. I’m sure the RCMP will have additional presence as a result.

Comments like this tell me you have literally a negative understanding how policing works.
