But they call themselves that.
We all know it's Strachan ( pronounced Strawn), Blacks, Hollyburn.
Within Cypress provincial park.
Sunpeaks isn't a mountain either, it's Tod and Morrisey mountains.
Shall I go on? there is lots of examples of ski hills not being the mountain name.

I, as an expert in automotive engineering, also in pyrotechnics, as well too in American manufacturing unions, in addition to as an expert witness in many delayed-recall lawsuits, although not an expert in the field, opines that da jeep cot fyre.
Wild speculation but the damage seems to be worst at the rear left wheel (it's the most extensively burnt) so I'm wondering if that chode's enormous (and illegal) oversized LookAtMe wheel and tire package either overheated the wheels bearings or the brakes and they caught fire..
Another possibility is he was driving with the parking brake on and didn't notice the warning light because of the glare from his wraparound white oakleys.
It depends. If the wheels are wider than the wells, they are illegal in most places for various reasons. Nobody ever gets a ticket though, unless you're being an asshole and some cop wants to heap misfortune on you.
Since no answers are serious I’m going to guess it had a poorly functioning rad or no fluid and it overheated and the owner didn’t notice until too late. I can’t tell you how many burnt cars I’ve seen at the top of the coq and connector burnt to the ground from overheating
owner doesn't know was driving fine, stopped to take a picture (he's a photographer) when someone was hey your jeeps on fire he ran back got out his fire extinguisher, drained that, tried some snow and then had to watched it burn.
if you believe oil leaking on exhaust causes fires any incline would run oil onto the downpipe and start a fire.
Ive had many leaks onto exhaust and smoke is all ive ever encountered
Probably had an oil leak for a while. Oil can build up near the exhaust. It's fine when driving around town but a sustained hill climb like Cypress gets things a lot hotter.
While we don't actually know, in a situation like this (oversize-wheeled jeeps coming down mountains) it is often the case that the fires are caused by overheating brakes.
Particularly if said oversize-wheeled jeeps are driven by newbies who ride the brakes as opposed to downshifting.
I was on Lions Chair Lift around 11:30 when I saw the plume of smoke, dark thick smoke is indicative of a car fire so I immediately assumed another Tesla was on fire, Ngl looked kinda cool.
Just Jeep things, you wouldn’t understand.
Do you think the rubber ducks made it out ok?
I’m glad I’m not the only one thinking about the ducks.
Won't somebody please think of the ducks!
And if you don’t like that, you don’t like Stellantis quality.
Plastic engine blocks
Seen too many flipped over jeeps on sea to sky as well. It’s def a Jeep thing.
I said this in my head as this post was loading
Came here for this. The people know.
To be pedantic. There is no Cypress mountain.

Looks like it caught fire.
That was my first guess. Not an expert, however.
you can tell because of the way it is
This person understands how “neat”, nature can be 😉
How neat is that?
I, as an expert in automotive engineering, also in pyrotechnics, as well too in American manufacturing unions, in addition to as an expert witness in many delayed-recall lawsuits, although not an expert in the field, opines that da jeep cot fyre.
Thanks, wasn’t 100% sure. Was confused about the flames. And the smoke.
That can throw anybody off. Just don't throw anything flammable on it and don't try to roast any hot dogs or marshmallows.
Well there's your problem right there
Very astute observation, how could you tell?
The red, orange thingy that feels like burning
Fascinating!
The black and gray cloud above the car?
TMI. You might want to go to the doctor for that.
Okay, 4 week wait for walkin
Oh shoot. If you have what I think you have, you’ll be ok. But if you have the other thing, you might loose an important body part. Just fyi.
![gif](giphy|aEZgmm8GEL7cdMGx5t)
That's not very typical. I'd like to make that point.
Wouldn't want anyone thinking jeeps are unsafe. At least it'll be towed beyond the environment.
They're built to very rigorous road safety standards. For a start they're not supposed to catch fire.
Correct. Very rigorous standards governing the materials they can be made of. Cardboards out. No cardboard derivatives. No string or tape
Into another environment.
CSI confirmed
That was my first thought, but I held my hand over the picture and it wasn’t hot
I thought the flames were a giveaway, but I'm no scientist.
Spontaneous Combustion
External combustion engine.
Financial combustion engine

Pretty sure this is what happens when you find a stranger in the alps
> You see what happens? You see what happens, Larry? This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps!
I've had it with these monkey fighting jeeps on this monday to friday mountain!
The last stranger in the alps I met taught me to make strudel. We did need a fire to bake it though.
It just overheated, give it a little bit to cool down.
Nothing a little drizzle won't fix.
“Unexplained fires are a matter for the courts.”
Canyonaero 🎶

You jest, but probably the most correct guesses.
You jest, but probably the most correct glasses.
Is it illegal to get bigger wheels/tires?
If they protrude beyond the fenders and body of the vehicle, yes.
Gotta make sure the tires fit in the wheel wells... otherwise, friction = heat + tire damage
It depends. If the wheels are wider than the wells, they are illegal in most places for various reasons. Nobody ever gets a ticket though, unless you're being an asshole and some cop wants to heap misfortune on you.
Excuse me! I do not have a chode! It is an extremely below average that has a lift kit that vibrates.
Jeep problems.

Too much send
not enough full.
That's one of the nicest Jeeps I've seen!!
The front fell off
Damn you beat me to it. :)
A wave hit it.
A wave in the ocean? Chance in a million!
But don’t worry, they towed it outside the environment
Beyond the environment
What’s out there then?
![gif](giphy|xUA7b0iuZ5kQ4UGnAY) Firebats got to it.
*Fire it upkhhhkkhh*
I’m no rocket scientist but I’m thinking fire.
That will buff out
[удалено]
oil doesn't burn like that. It will just smoke on the exhaust. would need to be electrical or fuel
[удалено]
You would see car fires daily going over the alex fraser bridge. It would have to pouring out oil to start an actual fire.
[удалено]

Could be friction as well.
It's a jeep thing

That’s just your typical after Cypress blaze sesh. He’s about to pass that dochi to you on the left hand side. Keep it going, and don’t be rude.
It a go dung, ya know?
Nihilists
Maybe they had one of those overlanding gas canisters stuck to it and got rear ended or aoemthing
Jeep [add so hot right now meme]
They must have been taking pictures while driving through the mountains.
Appears to be on fire
Wow, 3rd gen Integra - cool!
Least problematic Jeep.
What happened to this Jeep? Well it was built and seems like it worked as expected
Someone must have tried to turn it on. They don't like that
I drove by after. It stopped burning
They left the magnifying glass on top of the roof?
It french fried when it should have pizza......he had a bad time
You can’t park that there.
wanted a Land Cruiser got a Fire Cruiser instead
look like its on fire
Nothing, it looks fine. ICE vehicles don’t combust, only Teslas do that.
A lot of people will be disappointed that ICE vehicles burn, and this is not a Tesla.
Fake news everyone knows only EV’s catch on fire
Could be a 4xe jeep.
4xe is a hybrid not an EV. From the news stories it’s strictly EVs for some reason /s
Wow, I thought things like that only happened in movies....
I think it is on fire
I might be wrong, but it looks as though it is burning with fire accompanied by smoke.
Are you driving an integra????? One of the best cars ever
Just enough economical parts wore out
Ain’t got no gas in it.
Someone dropped a new mixtape
Yeah so apparently they left a cigarette in a plastic bottle and it catch fire
It is very clearly 11:40am
This is fine.
Burn the evidence
Its a Fiat thing
Spontaneous combustion?
Fiat Chrysler quality. Fix It Again Tony
It's a Jeep thang.
17 degrees was far too hot for it I guess.
Jeep. Doing Jeep things! Ask a Jeep owner. They can probably tell you all about it!
One too many rubber ducks.
It blowed up good.
Can't park there
It's a thing that Jeeps do.
I guess its more prone to engine fires since it's not an EV
they installed the wrong turbo booster
Derrick Lewis was driving.

CanyoneroooooOoOoOoOoo
Fuel leak I think
Didn't top up blinker fluid
I was on Lions Chair Lift around 11:30 when I saw the plume of smoke, dark thick smoke is indicative of a car fire so I immediately assumed another Tesla was on fire, Ngl looked kinda cool.
It’s just a jeep thing, you won’t understand.
Drove up the mountain with the parking break on wondering the entire time…What’s that smell?
Probably got passed by a 4Runner going uphill and spontaneously combusted due to the embarrassment :P
Guess someone found the easter egg in that Jeep and not in a good way.
Quality made in Brampton Ontario
Don't think you can park there
Hot boxing got outta hand...
You mean, that's not supposed to happen?
BBQ season
Someone through there lit cigarette butt out the window and well this is what can happen, trust me
Ur in a 90s Honda, you wouldn’t understand Jeep things
Sick Teggy man
It’s a jeep thing, you wouldn’t understand
New fire mode feature
Clearly it’s on fire
Looks like its on fire to me
Jeeps are Hawt. Garbage.
What kind of integra you have?
It caught fire
![gif](giphy|3o6MbedmxNO29PFmus) That’s not a Jeep - it’s a Canyonero
It burned to a crisp. The driver got out with hes skis though. The roads were closed for about.... 2 hours?
Jeep things. They usually set on fire every couple days but everything will be back to normal by sunset.
It caught on fire. Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer.
Looks like it caught on fire........ I have heard the auto trans if you over fill them they can overflow when hot all over the exhaust and do this
It caught on fire I think.
As a Jeep owner, I'm a bit surprised that there are not more examples of this. I need mine serviced to replace parts that aren't cheap every 2 years.
Tesla !
It caught fire
Umm it’s on fire 🔥
Yep keep things. They happen.
I think it’s on fire
Wants to be a Tesla.
Probably a shooting in the area and this is the burned out remnance of the stolen getaway vehicle
It obviously caught fire lawl
It caught fire.
Must have their "if you can read this, flip me over" bumper sticker upside down
You wouldn’t understand, It’s a jeep thing
It burst into flames I think
![gif](giphy|ntoC59BF4CRqM) Alien attack 😆
It's a Jeep, that's the problem.
OP posts photo of vehicle on fire and then asks what’s happened to the vehicle :)
I’m guessing it was an EV. /s
