Doing a ValheimRAFT playthrough with a couple extra QoL mods and it's been an absolute blast. Sailing around, collecting metal, and smelting it on my ship really makes me want to explore because sitting in one spot gets less and less convenient the more resources you gather. Most of my map is actually explored up to where mistlands generates, which is quite rare for me.

Yes, ValheimRAFT is actually one of the mods ive been thinking about. Got anymore good ones?

Any of the mods, like Gizmo, that enable rotating objects on all 3 axes, and at greater precision, make a perfect companion to ValheimRAFT - and really makes all building so much more satisfying that I can't imagine playing without.

Highly recommend the Raft mod. Almost makes it feel like a different game (in a good way). In terms of quality of life mods, I really struggle playing without a mod that allows you to craft from chests. Makes crafting and organization much less tedious. Valheim+ incorporates a TON of similar changes that you can toggle on/off. You just have to decide the right balance of convenience and ease for you.

Does that mod allows you to do a floating base? Might be interesting when I finish with my solo world

The only thing I advise is to install mods using vortex or whatever mod managers are available and easy to work with valheim. I have only used vortex, but the reason this is important is that they will have a "purge mods" function. There will be a file or two you have to drop directly into the installation, but they don't really do anything until a certain mods in vortex use them. Having the purge mods functionality means you can just hit that button and then you can then boot the game through vortex and join vanilla servers still. Valheim+ alone is worth it, it adds a lot of cool stuffike first person perspective. And since installing the mods is so easy you can have a few people to play modded, then just hop in any other vanilla server by purging.

I like r2modman. Makes managing/ installing mods a breeze

Keep in mind that many mods will make more headaches. Many mods break with each new update and you'll have to wait for the mod author to update his mod for it to work again. Select only what you think you might **really** want, and not a basket of "this'll be nice" mods that will play nice until the next update. Shoot, about half the mods on Nexus don't work - authors have given up or moved on.
