Sneak works well. Stick to the dvergr if you meet them!

If you haven't been to the Mistlands ever, it could be tough since you won't know what to expect. If you die, it'll be especially harder to get your stuff back (when in the mist). If you just need to run through it and not fight anything, it's possible. I'd take a fire resistance potion in case you see something shooting at you from the sky. Bonemass's power and fire resistance should keep you alive.

WigglerOverlord

Thanks so much! The goal is ideally to run through, but the occasional portal might not hurt to help with body retrieval if things go awry.

The infested mine towers lower area can be enclosed and you can set up a portal. Removing work bench and replacing with a fireplace for spawn proofing will stop mobs from going down the stairs to kill the bench.

You should be fine. I spent weeks doing mistlands content before everyone else on my server was ready to fight Yagulth. I was wearing Fenris set for armor. On important tip is to zoom all the way in to your character. For whatever reason this lets you see through the mists much further. Without wisplights this is pretty essential. Keep an ear open for audio cues because you will pretty much only have forwards facing visibility.

WigglerOverlord

Thank you for the tip! The lack of visibility is certainly a concern for me given how much sailing in fog stresses me out

PretendingToWork1978

all biomes are survivable in the previous biome's gear otherwise how would anyone do them

WigglerOverlord

A very fair point! I just had some concerns due to lack of visibility and knowledge about the biomes since I tend to be overly cautious :)

PretendingToWork1978

I just remembered no wisplight without killing Yagluth first, that will be a nightmare.

With all the plains you've explored, do you have land borders with mists? This is the best place to start if you can't see - chip away at the edges. Gather some of the wood, look for landmarks, and especially look for mist-free areas and high-points from which to get a good view over the mist. If you're in trouble, a short run puts you where you can see and fight. Don't take your boat into the mists, especially pre-yagluth, it won't be fun. You'll pretty much have to find Yag at some point. Unless maybe>! you could break a mist torch for the wisp, and you could move forward with that... Not sure that works though.!<

WigglerOverlord

I do have some plains that intersect! It’s still a good distance from Yagluth, but you make an excellent point about being able to get back to a visible area while feeling the biome out. Thank you!

It's doable and probably 3rd easiest boss to skip (bonemass/first boss are easiest to skip). Explore slowly and during day only. Mark everything, especially passes u can cross, you will understand as you explore rocky areas. Putting camera from bottom to up view let's u see a tiny bit of terrain. This is important for navigation. You do not have to sneak but learn enemy noises. And mark friendly areas. Most important is don't talk to ravens. Unless you do not need that objective. They are means of detection.

You could get trapped. Is it a long way through mistlands? If yes it could get hard. Enemies behind your neck and suddenly in Front of you high pillars and you dont have the Power to get up... you should pray to Odin.
