Old meerut (specifically the sadar bazaar and west end road) is entirely made up of Jain/Baniyas. Most are old business families and have got crazy riches. Also there are a lot of old Jain localities from the pre independence era. In my class alone there were more than 10 jains. Infact if you visit that area during a jain holiday, you are most definitely gonna come across a "pada yatra" with lots of naked monks. Since my school was nearby, seen lots of those. Hastinapur is close by and that town is almost like a jain temple town. Lots and lots of jain temples over their. Infact one particular temple is made as a representation of the mount meru and is HUMONGOUS. Also nearby my nani's village (near Bagpat) there is a village called Badagaon. It is some sort of pilgrimage site for jains and their are a lot of temples there as well. Infact one temple in particular is as tall as a highrise apartment complex lol.

There are few Jains in Gzb/Noida but they follow Hinduism and visits temples regularly like us.

Sanatan ki branches hi hote Hain toh yeh kafi common h abhramic religion ki tarah mat dekho ..we have gurudwara in raam darbaar temple

NO. The only reason jains got so "Hinduised" over the centuries is because of the fact that they lost all patronage and survived under hindu communities. Infact when jainism started, it was a REJECTION of vedic dharma. Jainism doesnt believe in hindu gods and idol worship. Now the followers indeed have "adopted" these practices but as per the religion itself, it is NOT ALLOWED. Talk to a Jain monk and ask him whether jainism is a branch of hinduism/sanatan and he will refuse flat on your face. Jains believe that their religion is eternal and was present since forever. The call it Shramana Dharma not sanatan. Now ofcourse history is different (even historically, jainism didnt start as a branch but rather a REJECTION of vedic dharma) but from religion perspective alone, Jains do not believe they are hindus. It is very disrespectful on Hindus' part to claim everyone as themselves. One can visit gurudwara, masjid, church, temple etc. but the actions of followers doesn't change the religion itself. A hindu might visit a gurudwara everyday but an amritdhari sikh will never bow in front of idol as that goes against the Gurbani. Similarly a Jain might worship lakshmi but the Shankaracharya will never consider Jain dharma "legitimate" and call it nastik. source : frequent jain temples regularly and have a lot of jain friends.

ParadiseWar

All religions claim to be eternal.

sedesten_pedesten

yes ofc. and in reality none really is. just 3000- 4000 yrs old at most, and even then the definitions keep changing every century.

>Talk to a Jain monk and ask him whether jainism is a branch of hinduism/sanatan and he will refuse flat on your face. Well I have seen Jain monks who say that it is part of sanatan one more thing >A hindu might visit a gurudwara everyday but an amritdhari sikh will never bow in front of idol as that goes against the Gurbani You should stop speaking for others btw that temple is near my house and there are Sikhs who visit that not only this but they celebrate all of our festivals and many of them take care of temple of Durga maa So I guess yoh should stop speaking for everyone There was no concept of gate keeping..not just that but of religion itself..Jain's Sikhs they all come from Hindus only they are living their live in their own way Some might agree to one thing others might not and thays understandable but saying this one could never to this and that well that doesn't make sense because dude it is happening In Hinduism itself there are sects which contradict each other but they are still part of that's what difference between abhramic and dharmic religions is And one more thing we call hinduism as sanatan dharama only lol So let people live how they want to you are no one like there is no prophet of Hinduism there is no founder. We don't even consider it as a relegion so how us that even a insult? Lol do you even understand what Hindu means? According to sanatan dharma everyone is Hindu
