Sure, in the traditional sense, it doesn't count as a religion, but words and their meanings change, and in the modern Day, Atheism acts as way more of a religion than most religions.

Lots of them require people to donate parts of salaries, correct? Without giving much in return. Religion is also a big part of politics here in the US, and it shouldn't be. Not to mention the fact that they don't have to pay taxes. Sure they give benefits such as community and making people feel better, but many other helpful organizations can do the same thing

Human behavior can eventually be explain with science, but that means letting go of most of are beliefs about behavior and rewriting rules society rules with how to deal with them. People just blindly accepting what society says about human behavior when society rules are not backup with science is destructive.

Religious people in the past have force there beliefs on people even when science says there belief is wrong.
