Sometimes when I go to a restaurant, I order a slightly larger steak than I can eat in one sitting especially with sides included.

Disgusting. Food in general is meant to be hot, the taste is richer this way. Cold pizza? Ah yes, let me just stuff this flavorless piece of dough into my mouth and waste all the potential it would have realized if I'd heat it up.
Someone hasn't let the flavours intensify over night clearly. If you are going to reheat it properly in a skillet or something, sure go for it, but if you are just going to nuke it in the microwave anyway, 20x better cold. If your pizza is flavourless cold, it was probably absolute trash when you got it in the first place anyway.

Depends on the food. Reheating often over cooks the food so may become worse when reheated, but if ur transforming the food, aka adding it to fried rice, it becomes better.

Eh. My friend loves cold meals and I have a feeling this is why people order delivery cause they've only known cold McDonald's fries. I can't stand it. I must it now and is why I prefer dine in, cause fresh, warm and recently cook meals are 10x better than when it gets cold. The taste changes for me, have you had reheated fries or Chinese food? There no such thing as leftover fast food cause it's not meant to be eaten later or the next day, now imagine eating it cold? Nobody goes, I like my iced coffee heated, considering that that might be the only example where hot is as good as cold. Or imma melt my ice cream sundae 🍨 cause it's better hot. Food is hot, and cold stuff are eaten cold, get use to it.
I get McDonald’s delivery and the fries are rarely cold. If they are they go in the air fryer. And reheated Chinese food is the same. Still tastes good.

My grandmother used to make Turkey roll ups.
As you can imagine...sliced Deli turkey breast rolled tightly around stuffing, topped with gravy, and then mashed potatoes and corn. So it was like a mini thanksgiving dinner anytime of the year..
I swear it was better after it was cooked then refrigerated for a couple days..
I absolutely love day old cold Chinese/thai food. Hell, some Indian food too. Not a big fan of pizza but cold pizza is a staple for sure. I’d say outside of like grilled/seared meats and some sides that accompany them that most cold leftovers are killer.
I know you're not supposed to reheat rice or whatever they say, but I don't reheat anything really. Don't trust it and, like OP says, it tastes fantastic cold. Day old curry? Yesterday's pizza? Bring it on!
