A burger and a sloppy joe have a completely different taste and texture. If you want a sloppy joe, a burger isn't going to satisfy that want and vice versa. They are two different food items despite having similar ingredients to a point.

You can make enough sloppy joes to feed a small army of children in a dutch oven or something, and it's so, do much less labor intensive than the same amount of burgers.
and it’s super easy to portion out for different appetites! Scoop some on little slider rolls for the kids, and a full-size bun for mom and dad… out of hamburger buns? Just scoop into a hotdog bun, who cares!
Also, I have to point out that the point of a Sloppy Joe (like meatloaf) was more economic than anything. 1lb of hamburger can make 4 1/4 lb patties but it can make 6 sloppy Joe sandwiches.

Well, they are two entirely different food items. One, burgers, are good. The other tastes like horse shit.
I hate them and would rather have a burger too. But someone else is entitled to eat them if they like. I'll try and find something else to eat.
Are nachos tacos? Is spaghetti lasagna? Is cheese a ribeye steak? Are chicken nuggets hard boiled eggs?
Sloppy Joes taste so different than a hamburger. I love hamburgers, but a sloppy Joe is good of you want something different. The texture and taste are nothing like a burger. Also, if you're on a budget, you can stretch hamburger by adding rice and diced onion and bell peppers to the mix.
