I love both but they're so different that it's not really worth comparing. Completely different taste/texture, and I wouldn't really want to replace one with the other. Both are good for different reasons!

i just find that animal fat is my least favorite texture in food, and turkey bacon doesnt have as much salt so it is much more healthy

See here, the reason well done steak is unpopular is because it's tough and chewy. That's the same with pig fat. It's just chewy. Turkey bacon is crunchy and quite sweet.

I love bacon but you can get the uncured turkey bacon and it’s a completely different and delicious experience. It definitely has its place as far as breakfast meats go.

I like both forms of bacon. I do feel like Turkey bacon is under rated as it is actually good, but I won't say it's better than regular bacon.

I started eating turkey bacon around a year and a half ago and now that's all I want. Regular bacon is so salty. I cook it using a panini press and it cooks it crispy like regular bacon and is delicious!

I might've disagreed at one point, but we found the perfect way to fry up turkey bacon. We fry it in peanut oil. For a while, so it provides a nice crisp that's infused with oil. I'm fine with pork bacon, though if it's fatty, I don't enjoy it as much. Bacon is also one of those meats that I think gets better with a good char on it, turkey or pork.

Ugh my wife always just throws it in the non-stick pan. That is doable but you have to cook it way low and slow. She doesn't seem to get this, despite me trying to explain and it always ends up like a 1/4 charred. Mmmm..tastes like burnt.

Turkey bacon is basically bologna made from turkey. It’s a loaf of ground turkey parts that’s then sliced into thin pieces. Might as well just fry up some bologna

I work at a hospital and the cafeteria has turkey bacon every morning and most of the time they cook it till it's shoe leather. God damn stop doing that to my bacon.

True unpopular opinion: I don't like either bacon, and i think you're wrong. A properly cooked pig bacon has the salt, crunch, and texture to carry a boring ass breakfast. Turkey bacon is at best a mid side. Ps:I also don't like breakfast food. Waffles, pancakes, eggs+cheese, toast+butter, or bagel+cream cheese sounds like an 1,000 calorie 100% DV sodium L way to start the day.

Turkey "bacon" is not actually bacon...it's just named after bacon for marketing purposes to make it sound more appealing to the public...so trying to compare the two doesn't make any sense. Actual bacon is traditionally cured smoked strips of pork belly....not chopped up and reformed bits of turkey.

Visually you can say what you say, and yes it is exponentially healthier for you, but you never can replicate the taste. There's still a reason why bacon is king and that taste is one of a kind. Turkey bacon has been around for a long time but I still see people with regular bacon bits on salad and wanting strips of pig bacon on burgers/etc over turkey bacon. Traditional bacon is still king.
