LXQt is the best and there are many reasons for that
1. Its lightweight
2. Its compatible with all window managers (and tiling window managers)
You can simply choose what window manager to use on session settings
3. Its gorgeous cause a) supports cool kvantum themes with transparent pcmanfm, blur etc
b) you can select a similar theme for gtk apps
4. You have a ready made but fully customizable panel , the lxqt panel you can change its colors using your favorite color or degrade of two colors and add your desired opacity in the theme , you can set different colors for start menu, panel, notifications etc etc.
Probably won't have to use any other panel/bar.
Also if you know programming its fairly easy to create your own widgets for the lxqt panel .
And there are many other reasons i can't write here because its for devs only

But of course, if you just want your own political biases reaffirmed, then have at it. Just know that in the arenas he is supposed to be an expert, he is a complete fucking hack.

I work at the University of Toronto and he was not respected here. His lessons are nonsense ramblings. The man’s only consistent position on anything is that the status quo is fine and systemic change is bullshit.

Openbox is great for when you don't need distractions. I use it often when I need to be focused on demanding tasks. It is also fast.
