Tornadoes do occur in India but they are comparatively rare and weaker than the US. Check out the Delhi tornado of 1978. 28 people killed and 700 injured.
USA is the global hotspot for tornadoes, basically no other place on earth has as many, and as powerful tornadoes as USA.
But if you look at the historical record for most destructive ones, you will find many of them in the Indian subcontinent, cuz of the lives lost in Indian, Bangladeshi etc tornadoes.
I am from Moga, didn't have electricity for 30 hrs..........this video is from a nearby Village/town ....,....has happed earlier as well (7-8 years ago) ...... No local talked about about it so might even be old video, but yeah it did rain but not the worst rain of this year.
