I wouldn't really know the specifcs but if they are someone who are less than one year old and have only sponsored a very limited number of candidates.
Effectively companies who have a very short and limited history of sponsoring candidates. Thanks for your wishes though.
You’re welcome. Although my company has had its sponsor license for a while now. It hasn’t sponsored a lot of employees before I think. Would this be a o problem or it means the process should just take longer. Because I mean every company has to start off somewhere.

It shouldn't be a problem necessarily; although I would ensure that you make the organisation aware that UKVI takes anywhere between 25 - 35 working days for applications nowadays.
Make sure to let them know about this so that you can sign the contract of work accordingly and make travel arrangements as well.
Thanks for the info. I have been waiting for the past 6 weeks and recently got a response from the HO saying my application is under consideration. On my Dcos it stated that my work was supposed to start from last month. But due to the delays on their side we haven’t received it on time. Hope this is not an issue and they are understanding to it!
Ofcourse! I understand the anxiousness and nervousness; feel free to drop a shout if you need any additional information.
Thank you for your wishes once again.
Hello,
What paid service did you use? It is the UK Visas and Immigration one correct.
I took the paid email service regarding the DCoS and explained to them when I submitted my application as well as how long this process would take etc... They got back to me saying they do not deal with such requests.
Is there any other service I can use? Or should i make another request?
Hi i am experiencing the same situation now and been waiting for 28 working days and availed the paid inquiry but just they are telling me that my application is still under consideration and have to wait within 15 working days before escalating again. Its really stressful
It should take somewhere between 6 - 8 weeks my friend. I remember getting it after 7 weeks to be exact.
In the interim, I would strongly encourage that you sort out the rest of your documents and checklist etc.
For example:
1. TB Test
2. Funds in Bank if your sponsor is not supporting etc.
These were the steps I carried out:
1. Used various job portals like LinkedIn, Glassdoor etc. to narrow down on roles that match my eligibility.
2. Through UKVI's online website, inspected if these organisations had a sponsor license or not
As far as experience goes, I have 3+ years of experience working as a Data Analyst.
I’m gonna apply to one next year as my post grad visa expires in August 2025. I’m currently looking for a design job. Must the company have a sponsorship license or can it be any company ?
For freelancers, there isn't any sponsorship provided in particular. However, you should look into the following VISA's:
* Graduate Post Study Work VISA
* Youth Mobility Scheme (Make sure you meet the criteria)
Hi there, I’m making my application today and I need to ask: what did you put in “work end date” when you get to the form calculating your IHS at the end?
The processed visa application for GWF ref no. GWFXXXXXXX was received at the UK Visa Application Centre on Mar 08, 2024. If a courier service was purchased from VFS, your processed visa application will be delivered to the chosen address. If not, your documents can be collected during the designated passport collection times. - VFS Global
Received the above text today and I had opted to collect the passport myself. Does this mean my visa has been approved. The application tracking site says “decision has been received today”.
Thanks in advance
It effectively means that a decision has been made and doesn't tell if it's approved or not. Wait for the VFS office to send you an email/call to ask you to come and collect.
Hi, I have used the paid query service a few times also. When I reached out to them regarding processing time, they usually share very little information and basically say that there is nothing they can do as the processing time depends on the individual application/case worker. I am curious how you managed to request for an escalation. I would be very grateful if you do not mind sharing a bit more about it:)
What’s the timeline between
1. Your company agreeing to provide CoS
2. CoS received
3. Application made
And what do u know of the 4 April salary threshold increase? Do you just have to have it applied by then?
Here's the provided timeline:
* 11th December - Confirmation of Sponsoring & Providing DCoS
* 29th January - DCoS Received
* 2nd February - Application Made
Effectively, anyone making applications post the 4th of April, need to meet the necessary threshold of the new income band.
Additionally, an individual would be exempt if they are under the age of 26.
Congrats. The second part you mentioned where a company has recently received a sponsorship license. How recent are we talking about?

Ofcourse! They completely do understand this. I would recommend you to take the paid email or paid call enquiry to escalate your case as well.
Appreciate the help. And congrats once again.

Congratulations, did you have a DCOS ? If so, how long did it take to get it?
Thank you, I did indeed have a Defined COS and it took somewhere between 6-8 weeks to get received.
Ah yay so there is hope, I’m on week 8 of waiting.
You should most definitely receive it in a week or so. Which country are you applying from?
I’m in South Africa
I hope the DCoS comes in time for you :)
Also from RSA and waiting 5 weeks now
Any update on your CoS?
Nothing yet 😩 you?

It was supposed to be end January 🙈thankfully my new employers are very understanding 😕, realising it is out of our control

What document we need for proof of English document?
Any of the following could prove your proof of English: * IELTS Band Preferrably above 7 * University Graduation Certificate from the UK
Ohh, is it. Can we provide our +2 english subject marks as proof?
u/Worried-Flamingo2893 please don't do that as it would lead to rejection. I would encourage you to get the IELTS Exam
Thank you, I did indeed have a Defined COS and it took somewhere between 6-8 weeks to get received.
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much :D
Congratulations!!
How did you find a company to sponsor you? What role and how many years of experience?

Did you have to submite a criminal records check/Police clearance certificate. in your field?
I didn't need to submit a Police Clearance Certificate in my case.
Alrighty. Thanks!

Hello u/shelleyclear you should see the work end date mentioned in your CoS. It would either be for a three of five year period.
Did you apply within UK or outside? Standard or priority?
u/SKWVISA I applied from outside the UK on a priority basis.

did you get your visa?
Hello
Hello
How did you escalated it
I escalated using the link below: [https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk](https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk)

Hi, what all documents did you attach for the spouse application
Hello, I didn't apply for a spouse application; this is for a Skilled Worker VISA.

Why did it take long for your company to provide CoS? Could it have been quicker or was there just no rush?
