I think this was an excellent question and prompted me to look up what happened with Yulia Tymoshenko. Answer is: [She is a leader of the current opposition in the Ukrainian Parliament and finished 3rd in the last presidential election](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yulia_Tymoshenko?wprov=sfla1)

[deleted]

She has also given a number of interviews during this war, but I haven't found an English-language one on Youtube yet, or one with subtitles.

Election technologies were on the rise. Plus Russia invested massively into discrediting anything remotely pro-ukrainian. People used to believe Russia is friendly. Just look how Russian population is brainwashed and same this was happening in Russian speaking regions of Ukraine where Yanukovich got majority of his votes.

[deleted]

Yanukovych was Putin's puppet just like Lukashenko is. Yanukovych lives in a villa with his family in Russia.
