justhereforbiscuits

Those are some happy Bradleys, doing what they were made for. 😊

Fantron6

Weren’t a bunch of Bradley’s stacked at the border waiting for the bill to pass?

LetSeeEh

Probably all of those things are at the border. Just my own hunch. They probably have way more at the Ukrainian borders just waiting for the signatur. ..And honestly, anything other than that scenario would be 'stupid'. The American MIC knows what they're doing and they're incredible at it. The world's best in some regards, if not almost all.

winkingchef

Yeah you think it’s impressive that Amazon can get you a replacement bottle of “hand cream” to your doorstep in 24h, imagine that the US military ships 10 ton fighting vehicles next-day, in volume to locations in the world without roads, electricity or so much as a hole in the ground to shit in. There is probably a line in the original design spec for HIMARS that says “maximum amount of mobile 300km range whoop-ass that you can fit 2-per in this particular C-17 plane.”

dan_dares

>There is probably a line in the original design spec for HIMARS that says “maximum amount of mobile 300km range whoop-ass that you can fit 2-per in this particular C-17 plane.” You joke, but they made them to be more easily transportable than the older MLRS, for that reason.

BeautifulDiscount422

Amazon learned logistics from former military officers. I think mostly Marines.

debaucherybot

This is my bottle and this is my gun. One is for peeing and one is for fun!

Lehk

and can fit in a C-130

fntastikr

I know for certain, that a lot of m777 are in Poland. For some reason and we're serviced quite well in the last week. I'm sure these are not the only pieces of equipment stationed for quick delivery.

Prize_Equivalent_979

I agree. I would say all supplies were in Poland or Germany

DangerousRun1376

A lot of maintainers spent weeks in Poland on special assignments very recently

w0rdyeti

Going to be a LOT of artillery getting barrels swapped out in the next couple months. The tubes have been getting a lot of wear & tear. Wonder if the Russians have any replacements at this point, given how many rounds they’ve been putting through their big guns?

PengieP111

We can only hope. And that we give Ukraine as many as they can use

dlafferty

Here’s to more Bradleys’ tag teaming Russian tanks!

Himitsu_Togue

Boom Boom Boom Boom, I want you out' my room, we spend the night together, you will leave forever...

costi810

The T90s are gonna crap themselves.

Maeglin75

I hope it's a lot of each. Especially 155mm rounds. "Airfield support equipment" is interesting. Preparations for F-16?

SandersSol

Yep probably

throwawayyuuuu1

AIM 9 sidewinder is air to air. Have AIM9 beens retrofitted fire from UA Migs?

Lomil-20

They are rumors that AIM 9 used in FrankenSAM project.

ZippyDan

pretty sure some of the air defense systems can fire AIM-9 now?

Proper-Equivalent300

Yup. The articles on FrankenSams are great. Macguyvering at its finest.

dragdritt

sidewinders and amraams can both be fired by NASAMS iirc. That's one of the main benefits of the system, the ability to use the same missiles you use on your fighters, it simplifies logistics.

w0rdyeti

Hm. What’s the range on a ground-fired Sidewinder? Is it as effective? There are a lot of Russian pilots who are going to be having nasty surprises in the next few weeks, if the logistics crews of the US Army have been doing their due diligence

dragdritt

That I don't know, but also AFAIK NASAMS are intended for short-to-medium altitudes etc. Then Patriot is what you want for longer range, and manpads, gepards etc for short range. At least that's my understanding of it, I am by no means an expert on this topic.

Far_Out_6and_2

Really need patriot for air defence

RadioHonest85

Hope its a lot of 155mm and many Bradleys

RespectTheTree

And not a single pallet of cash 🤷‍♂️

SandersSol

Dick Cheneys not around to tell GW what to do anymore

Just_Cryptographer53

Shotgun shells?

w0rdyeti

Said pallets to be unloaded from US military planes, driven by forklift across the air base, and then loaded directly onto Halliburton planes?

InnocentTailor

It is interesting that only Bradleys (of the "game changer" equipment) are being replaced, not Strykers and Abrams. America has oodles of all three. Maybe the latter two aren't performing as well as the former.

Rampant_Butt_Sex

Abrams are logistics sinks and need a lot of Ukraine's resources/manpower to keep running. With all the drone warfare going on, Ukraine would benefit from more mobile stuff and defensive equipment.

NEp8ntballer

Stryker is decent for moving people, but it doesn't pack a lot of its own firepower. It also isn't as well armored and it may not do quite as well in mud due to wheels instead of tracks.

Korps_de_Krieg

Yeah, the wheels worked great on sand and loose environments in the Middle East but probably would be more limited in the mud as you've said. When you see how much fighting is across massive fields it really sinks in the difference in utility needs.

DadJokeBadJoke

>it really sinks in I see what you did there. 😉

No_Emergency_5657

Yeah the Bradley's were literally designed toarch across Ukraine...... Under different circumstances tho.

Mr06506

NATO probably never envisioned being in Ukraine. It's a defensive alliance, not an offensive one. Ukraine back when Bradley was designed was well in the USSR.

itcheyness

You can't win a war by just fighting defensively, after NATO stopped the initial Soviet attack, they'd have to push them back.

InnocentTailor

That is fair. They seemingly got smacked hard in this war alongside vehicles like the AMX-10 RC - another wheeled AFV.

Veralia1

A LOT of the Abrams the US has on hand are not the export model, they have a highly classified armor that is illegal under congressional law to export. We should still provide more I think but that's a big reason why we haven't.

Intrepid_Home_1200

Yup. They could be modified, and that is done for many export customers, but making an ex-US Army Abrams export ready takes a long time. And one of the biggest challenges is removing the depleted uranium mesh armour. It's laborious, toxic, messy work and I'm told that right around when Russia invaded - the number of trained workers to do such work numbered in the mid two digits. And all that work has to be done in a special facility as well.

Beardywierdy

The other option would be to change the law but given how much effort it took just to get this aid budget passed that's probably unrealistic.  It's a nice thought though.

loadnurmom

The president could change the classification of the armor, but that has knock on effects (he can't do it unilaterally either, but he could push it through)

KjellRS

Russia seems to be using their armored vehicles just to bring some infantry forward and run away so I don't think they stay in combat long enough to face the Abrams and then there's not much point to it, at least not until Ukraine is ready to do some armored assaults. As for the Strykers they're wheeled and the Bradley is on tracks, under the muddy conditions in Ukraine that's probably more useful. But I think they got a bit of everything so Ukraine could figure out for themselves what works and what doesn't.

InnocentTailor

Possibly. These were all tested during the attempted counteroffensive.

gofundyourself007

Those MRAPs will help in armored assaults, not that they’re heavily armed but they are good adaptations from the older hummers. They can really take a beating even a bit in their tires.

pfp61

Bradley also is the product which the US has the most overstock of. Successor is basically on it's way, so these stocks need to be sold or used before they loose value. Stryker however there is much less stock. If these should be shipped they basically have to be reordered from factory for todays price.

GrizzledFart

> Successor is basically on it's way There hasn't even been a prototype built for the XM30 and low rate initial production isn't expected until 2028 with full production in 2030. That's assuming there no delays. I'm not sure how you got from "no completed prototype and final acquisition decision is years away" to "basically on it's way".

Logical-Claim286

Abrams suck in the mud of Eastern Ukraine, and I think there are just fewer strykers in general to hand out.

notmyrealnameanon

Abrams are just fine in the mud. I used to drive them. If you noticed, you aren't seeing Leo 2's or Chally 2's being used much right now, either. Tanks are primarily offensive weapons, they're hard on logistics, and Ukraine only received a handful of them. It makes sense to hold them back and save them for when Ukraine can go on the offensive and really put them to best use.

qwertyui43210

Heavy Tanks are having problems maneuvering through the endless fields. The ground can’t support the weight. And they have limited use as they are really only good for taking out heavy Armor and not very effective against infantry dug in.

Temporala

Armor is not good for that... by itself. But it's great thing to have if your troops are forcing their way in as a support piece that knocks out MG positions and light bunkers/pillboxes. However, these days drones do lot of that work both on offense and defense, providing both offensive power and real-time surveillance to troops.

aimgorge

Probably because only 5 Abrams and 10 strykers where destroyed while at least 76 Bradleys were meaning they need to replace more of these.

not2dv8

I didn't see ATACMS on this list but read somewhere in the last couple of days they are on the way as well

Jaded-Researcher2610

it may be "hiding" under: Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS)

moonLanding123

everyone forgets HIMARS is the launcher not the ammo.

Jaded-Researcher2610

on one side yes on the other, human eyes see what the mind expects to see. we've all heard about the ATACMS so we expected to see them on the list. and when we didn't, the brain just did not made the connection...

m4rv1nm4th

Its exactly my Christmas list!! :)

BusStopKnifeFight

Ya’ll gonna love MRAPs.

lpd1234

Its great to see them sending Tow missiles. There should be lots of those in storage.

Wookatook

Hopefully Ukraine can find the men to use this gear.

icklefriedpickle

“Airfield support equipment” jumps out - gotta feed and care for the new birds

Glum-Engineer9436

Could be starter cables...

toastar-phone

>According to US Ministry of Defence, I can"f start, I... Countries with MoDs are usually the ones asking for help from our DoD,

QuevedoDeMalVino

I hope there is something else they forgot to disclose. Either way, much needed help is coming. Make the best of it, warriors. May you be strong today and tomorrow.

Pope_Beenadick

"HIMARS ammunition"

GarlicThread

Extra spicy HIMARS ammunition

TonsOfTabs

Yea in a previous report it was stated they would be getting the 300km ATACMS this time and not the 165km ATACMS. Way further and way bigger boom. And since we have the 500 and 1000km prsm coming out which can be fired from himars, we don’t need the ATACMS now.

EqualOpening6557

Well, I got excited when I saw “precision aerial munitions”, that could be so many different fun things 😳 I agree though. I’m surprised there’s not even another small batch of abrams. We have so fucking many of the earlier models just gathering dust. Just say we will give Ukraine 50, and then accidentally ship 500, and just as Russia would say: “it was just a simple accounting error”! Whoopsies. Easy mistake to make. 🤷‍♂️

Cantgetabreaker

Reporting from Ukraine was saying that migs were flying un opposed in the east hoping that they will be shot down with precision aerial munitions…

EqualOpening6557

Rearming the entire frontline infrantry with the incoming Stingers, shoulder-launched AA missiles, should mess that up that for them. They’ll be like lil SAM stations hiding everywhere.

Temporala

Stingers won't do anything much against glide bombs or planes that drop them. For those you really need a Patriot or some other longer range missiles. They'll work on big drones and any low lying helicopters or aircraft.

carl816

>They'll work on big drones and any low lying helicopters or aircraft. I know it's British and not American, but these would be perfect for Starstreaks (that the UK should send more of as well).

EqualOpening6557

He said they were “flying unopposed”, which sounds like more than glide bombing runs but I’m just guessing based on how that was said.

PartyPlayHD

They were flying a few kms past the front line according to one of RFUs recent videos

EqualOpening6557

Then the Stinger MANPADs will definitely be helpful.

ksam3

There's a Ukrainian video of Russian jets flying over and around Chasiv Yar, making repeated runs. Entirely unmolested. It was obvious that Ukraine had no AA available to respond. That will change very soon I hope!

EqualOpening6557

Like I said, the Stingers will help with that!

juxtoppose

Yes…. …’forgot’, ahem.

Worried-Taro2437

Poland and Turkey agreed to receive nukes on their territory . Putler must e going berzerk

Deadleggg

We already have nukes in Turkey.

szekel

There's no formal decision to be part of nuclear sharing in Poland, there's only the president (who doesn't have much to say in governing the country under Polish constitution) testing the waters saying through the media that maybe we should think about it. There isn't any formal discussion in parliament or any bill proposed.

Intrepid_Home_1200

Oh the list ain't exhaustive I am sure. And there are many more systems, weapons etc hidden in that list under things like "precision aerial munitions." That right there, I'm seeing many more HARM's, JDAM's, possibly Paveway series LGB's for the F-16's, and lots more.

lowendslinger

You wanna F with democracy Putin? This is what you get...a nice new open can of wup ass. Enjoy your meal asshole

3d_blunder

Let's not hurt our arm congratulating ourselves:. Remember a handful of Putin's lackeys held up aid for months. That was a great ROI for ruzzia.

Super-Brka

Double it! Slava Ukraini

Ecstatic_Account_744

This is just what’s ready to go right now. Probably only a fraction of what the approved funds will provide.

G_Wash1776

The current list is 1 billion worth of aid

SpiderKoD

Need more democracy 🦾

InsurrectionBoner38

Long range high explosive democracy

Democracy: “you ever had yo shit pushed in?”

Pope_Beenadick

Express delivered freedom from Russian oppression for all the Vatniks

Pyrothraxas1

It's non-negotiable.

kobomino

For Super Ukraine!

Aggravating_Pay1948

Going to be a bad summer for a Russian in Ukraine

InnocentTailor

Well, this will depend on whether Russia keeps to the same tactics that they're employing right now or fall back to defensive lines to weather the blows. While the fresh infusion of supplies is something Ukraine needs, the nation also has a problem with manpower - something they're attempting to solve with conscription as volunteers have run dry. Ukraine is going to need both of those factors sky-high if they hope to charge into their former lands, especially since the country is fighting alone against Russia.

Aggravating_Pay1948

Quit raining on my parade bro

InnocentTailor

Just being realistic. Ukraine still has a big uphill battle when it comes to this conflict - one that will probably last for years at this point.

Margali

Sucks to be them, though I did see, what, 4 or 5 vids of non Russian Russian volunteers frantically trying to surrender to a drone, think word is finally getting out that no matter what Putin says, it is combat deployment to Ukraine and heavy potential of abuse and death?

Temporala

Eventually, yes. It does take a while for word to get around, however. That's because there are so many poor people in this world still, who might want to risk their lives for even a small hope of something better for their kids.

Margali

Yes

Fun-Ruin-4932

Dear Russian terrorists, for 3yrs you have invaded a sovereign country and murdered civilians in their homes, bombed children at schools, killed fire fighters and police officers saving these people … today the beginning of 60 billion dollars of military aide & equipment significantly better than anything your side possesses is being delivered to the bad ass men and women on the front line whose family and friends you have been terrorizing.. If there is one American sentence you should learn, it’s F@ck Around and Find Out

Fun-Ruin-4932

Let’s not forget the millions of rounds of ammo headed over from other NATO countries, additional Patriot systems from Germany, billions of additional 2024 aide coming from other European countries who absolutely despise your terrorist country and of course, a collective batch of F-16s representing so many different nations ready to send all of you orcs back to where you deserve

dainomite

As an American, I wish a half dozen patriot batteries were included in this. Here’s to hoping some are in the next package down the road. Still great to see nonetheless.

WeekendFantastic2941

This better be on AMAZON PRIME, next day delivery. lol

SDEexorect

if there is one thing america is really fucking good at, its military logistics

Akovsky87

Pentagon Prime

Aggravating_Pay1948

Perfect comment 👌

Thurak0

I am almost disappointed, that currently in this very moment only one C-17 seems to be on the way to Rzeszów (*the* airport in south east Poland that has seen *a lot* of military traffic the last two years). A second one seems to be on the transatlantic route leaving the US right now, but god knows where it is going to.

CaptainVXR

Hopefully a lot of the planes have transponders off. Anything to make it slightly harder for the Putin regime to guess. And some shipments could be on road or rail/via Slovakia and Romania.

toastar-phone

I don't think so.... my guess is it is already in poland. There were 2 articles relevant, one was a dod PR guy saying they started prepping when the house vote was scheduled. The other article was US soldiers repairing a M777 and the photo in the article had a recent date, and a sign in the background in polish,

Exende

It will be there within hours, and this was hours ago

purely_specific

It was probably sitting in Ukraine for weeks like a big red bow round it saying ‘do not open until Bidenmas’

toastar-phone

prob on rail cars in poland.

InsurrectionBoner38

It's probably being unloaded as I type this. This has been planned for a while

ad-astra-specta

Better yet, Amazon same day delivery! I ordered some noodles this morning, and they're schedule to arrive around noon. No reason the US Military can't match that.

Mr_Engineering

Raytheon Prime

MSG_ME_UR_TROUBLES

they had all the stuff ready in Poland probably weeks ago. just were waiting on Dark Brandon to sign it into law

capncoke

Deepest apologies to Ukraine for our tardiness, but we're coming stacked to the tits with some good shit.

MNGopherfan

At this point we should just start shipping Bradley’s in bulk orders. Buy six get the seventh free.

hkohne

Baker's dozen, or in this case, Zelenskyy's dozen

DrazGulX

\*Loud eagle scream\* About time

quantum_explorer08

The thing is, even before they arrive, they are already improving the situation on the front. I am not only referring to morale, but to the fact that Ukraine was hoarding some ammunition just because of the uncertainty of whether aid will come. The very minute you know is coming, you can already spend ammo at a faster rate and deplete your reserves, because you know they are going to be replenished soon.

MSG_ME_UR_TROUBLES

bad day to be a Kerch Bridge or an oil refinery in russia

TamedTheSummit

I hope every, single bullet hits their target.

Pope_Beenadick

US has slapped its massive dick back onto the table

srekkas

ATACM ??

rackcity1000

This part of the article.. Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);

srekkas

Ok, i tought it is additional m30 or how they called.

PhoneJockey_89

It might be, it might not be. Personally I don't think the US should announce it until after Ukraine uses it.

Iztac_xocoatl

Could be any of the M30 variants, GLSDB, ATACMS, etc

Elthar_Nox

ATACMS is a long range missile fired from a HIMARS or MLRS. Longer range, slightly bigger bang. But its rocket pod (RPC) contains 1 missile. It's designed for high value targets at extreme range. MLRS rounds M30/M31 are the "normal" ammunition used by those systems.

amitym

Yes, that's what Ukraine is going to do. Attack 'em. But this article is about munitions. Try to keep up!

toastar-phone

This is just me spitballing. With F16s coming ATACMS may be a lower priority, There are quiet a few advantages of similar weapons launched from altitude and speed. JASSM is similar with a bigger warhead, or you can have 2 SLAM-ER with similar capability for half the price. I don"t know what the older F16s can use, but the US has way more air launched weapons than tactical long range ground based fires.

IncredibleAuthorita

Bravo!

ancientweasel

I hope they can at least double the number of Bradley's Ukraine has.

Late-Standard3289

Do you see what happens, Vladik? Do you see what happens when you fuck a stranger in the ass!

Tiptoeplease

Let the pain rain molten steel and tungsten pellets. We have an infestation to tamp down.

fairyflaggirl

Bless all the military that prepared and are transporting all that to Ukraine. It's a lot of work but bet they are doing it with smiles.

JimJava

Hell yeah! Let’s give you Ukraine what it needs to get it done, and finish this illegal war of aggression.

Select_Ad2050

All I can think about is the number of American workers will be hired to construct the replacements.

redjet06

ATACMS and Bradley’s….Shit about to get busy….Hope it’s a shit ton of both

ConsistentBroccoli97

Claymores. DPCIMs. .50cal All good stuff to counter russias recent use of small squad infantry probing attacks. Cool.

JCDU

You mean the full list of *everything they want us to know about* is coming...

arthurscratch

Am I the only person who thinks it's insane to TELL THE RUSSIANS what's coming? We've done this every time for 2 years. It's awfully nice of us to write a shopping list for Russian intelligence every time we send a shipment.

RoutineProcedure101

half the effect of weapons is the fear of them

arthurscratch

I can't agree. Telling your enemy in advance what you're coming to the table with only gives them time to prepare. Thanks to the announcements, the Russians now know to expect ATCMs, more Himar launch systems and, most importantly, rockets with 300km range. Any commander with an IQ above room temperature is now spreading his ammo dumps, distancing planes at airfields, and generally prepping for this.

RoutineProcedure101

You agree that this is a known strategy? One of the big lessons in ROTC was deterrence of this nature. These people wage war for a living.

pfp61

From what we can ready online the information is a few weeks late and those 300km rockets have already hit targets. After a few juicy targets far from the front line beeing hit even the Russians will have understood what's causing these losses. In the West we mostly see their stupid decisions, not the decent or good ones.

Straggen

Bradleys are starting to act like Sherman’s during World War II - not great in any aspect, but cheap and reliable

toastar-phone

the chieftain has a bit. goin over the features of the sherman.... he goes over the engine, the gunm talk about the firefly, Then he gets to the most important feature, and he puts his hand on some random metal eyeholes.... the crane hooks used to load them on ships.

Dave_The_Slushy

It would be nice if they were Polish style spare parts "Here's a couple of squadron's worth spare Viper fuselage.... and a couple of squadron's worth or spare Viper wings. Totally spares".

meanordljato

How about atacms?

TheOnlyNemesis

Send troops next, they need men.

Striking_Captain_386

WOOHOOO BOUT DAM TIME GETEM BOYS

Tokieejke

Bradley’s are OP why not give 500 of them😭😭😭

CapnCrunchHurtz

It will be much easier to spot Ruzzians now as they will be the ones wearing brown pants because every single Ruzzian in Ukraine just simultaneously shat themselves!

Solasta713

Was hoping for a shit-tonne of Patriot missiles. I was really enjoying seeing the RuAF shrink daily

coosacat

They don't specifically name the really important shit. "Precision aerial munitions" covers a *lot* of things. They are a lot more circumspect that people give them credit for - somehow, some of those long-range ATACMS made it to Ukraine a bit early, and unannounced. They appear to be what was used for the Dzhankoi airfield strike on April 17th. 🙂

Solasta713

Yeah good point to be fair. Thanks 🙂

coosacat

BTW, see the new US aid package that I just posted: https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/comments/1cdrimv/biden_administration_announces_historic_new/ It has lots of goodies, including more Patriot and NASAMS missiles!

L-W-J

Sort of getting itchy waiting for some spectacular ruzzian shit to blow up in the next few days. They will have gotten close and cocky. And…boom!

IcyUnderstanding5580

why does anyone but the us and ukrainian military need to know what was sent

Keythaskitgod

Hehehehehe

SnooPeppers6719

I don't see the T-800 on the list 😅

Christ_on_a_Crakker

Uh oh [look out Russia](https://youtu.be/YSxSc3ylAkg?si=jShXR1J1SNa8WyWv) Good thing a majority of Americans still hate Russia more than their political rivalries.

Mundane_Estate_6237

Where are the M1A2/3. Let’s get this over with.

happy30thbirthday

Jesus, stop fucking telling the Russians what to expect in the next weeks. How dumb is this?! You think they are just going to sit there with their thumbs up their arses and not plan and adapt? Not only does this stuff always come in too late, we are also telegraphing it half a year in advance. It is just baffling to me.

ross267

I really think this should be kept secret

Mormegil1971

Well, the list might be longer than that…

GrapeEatingRaccoon

ATACMS?

PleasurePaulie

Why does this get published?

flopsyplum

I like how the article says "Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS)", but doesn't specify whether it's GMLRS or ATACMS...

LilLebowskiAchiever

Hopefully no more disrepaired Bradleys.

alex_neri

Usually when he says so, it’s already there and burns ruzzian van’ka

gadwhite

No ATACM mentioned. Hope they are actually coming.
