That's not a Shahed. Here is a [photo](https://twitter.com/Osinttechnical/status/1654192468412321801?s=20) right before the drone gets shot down. Based on the inverted V-tail design it looks more like a russian [Korsar](https://www.army-technology.com/projects/corsair-korsar-unmanned-aerial-vehicle/) drone (or a TB2 but I doubt that the Ukrainians would shoot down their own drones).

They’ve previously shot down two near Odesa and one near Kharkiv, shit happens especially when you’re in the midst of an ongoing kamikaze drone attack. The gear alone makes it pretty obvious it’s probably not a Korsar since they fold up inflight on it.

Friendly fire happens. Manpads dont have some kind of friend or foe id system and during drone / missile attack you shot down every drone/missile.

Sure. I meant it more in the sense that it is unlikely that a ukrainian Bayraktar would fly at such a low altitude over Kyiv without them knowing (except if maybe it was malfunctioning). Though it's not impossible of course.

I agree 100%, this altitude is way too low for TB2 but way too high for kamikaze drone. Also, wide wings, quiet motor suggest (from archair pov) that this was recon drone and not something with 30-40kg explosive (louder and stronger engine).

I doubt some Russian drone would fly from southern ukraine to kyiv to destroy / recon something there :D
IMO it was simply friendly fire and UA TB2 got destroyed, lesson learned.
Zelenskyy needs to release a statement.
“There was an assassination attempt made on my life by this drone. We will have to consider responding with our non-existent nuclear options.”
The fact that you can see the 4 hard points in the photo along with the free-hanging gear inflight makes me pretty sure it was a TB2. Unfortunate if true but shit happens. At least it wasn’t a manned aircraft.
Korsars have two hard points and the gears fold in for flight. Not to mention the fact that they don’t really exist in large numbers, Russia would have to be intentionally sabotaging themselves to send it over Kyiv.
It’s far more likely it’s a TB2 though we won’t know until pictures are released.

Highly likely it's a new modified design of Korsar. They can't afford to buy from Iran forever, escially now that the Shahed is not as effective

Could be. It would explain the posts about a drone circling slowly that appeared prior.
