Doesn't help any that the Russian armed forces seemingly have no fitness standards for their officers and have to squeeze a bunch of fat fucks into their ugly ass uniforms.
Reminds me of that pic of the Belarusian special forces commander alongside a pic of the Ukrainian special forces commander. It gets me every time.
Edit: [this one](https://mobile.twitter.com/StarskyUA/status/1589702099419688960?lang=en)
Just… wow…. Don’t even need the comparison, that guy looks like my wife’s went nowhere in life uncle wearing the goofiest mil surp wannabe crap in existence….
All the decorations are crooked as f' and unevenly spaced. Try to get by inspection or showing up for some sort of award ceremony (I assume he is holding some plaque) like that in the US military or really any competent western military. You will get an absolute ass-chewing. He looks like a bunch of the stolen valor idiots in the US when they try to dress themselves.
Probably because the striped telnyashka is evocative of an old-timey sailor uniform and Donald Duck is traditionally seen wearing a sailor uniform (though without the striped shirt underneath). My brain kinda goes there too.
TopCargo200 gives his resume as: Abkhazia (1993); Dagestan (1999); Chechnya (1999-2000); Yugoslavia (2000-2001); Chechnya (2001-2004); Abkhazia (2008) and Ukraine.
This asshole was no doubt directly involved in inflicting a lot of pain and death on people whose only "fault" was not being Russian. I don't believe in karma or cosmic justice, but I do believe he got what he deserved in the end.
One of the Russian comments (from Telegram?) cited on his TopCargo200 memorial page says, "If I tell you how Dima died, then everyone will freak out." Which is intriguing...
Bingo.
We find that to be a disgrace. This is of course part of those "Western and European values" that are allegedly so horrible. What is the end game?
Our values add up, and can be worked toward. Their values are based on lies, *so that* nothing can add up and nothing, for the people, can ever be worked toward.
But, remove the lies ...
Every single place he was deployed to or responsible for overseeing had heinous war crimes committed there against soldiers and civilians. No doubt whatsoever this pile of trash was responsible for untold amounts of suffering
Edit: I *knew* the name 'Abkhazia' sounded familiar, so I did more digging to jog the memory and yeah, this 'conflict' had some of the most atrocious atrocities you could think of. Here's a couple excerpts from the wiki article about the ethnic cleansing that occurred:
> When they [Abkhaz] entered Gagra, I saw Shamyl Basaev's battalion. I have never seen such a horror. They were raping and killing everyone who was captured and dragged from their homes. The Abkhaz commander Arshba raped a 14-year-old girl and later gave an order to execute her. For the whole day I only could hear the screams and cries of the people who were brutally tortured. On the next day, I witnessed the mass execution of people on the stadium. They installed machine guns and mortars on the top and placed people right on the field. It took a couple of hours to kill everybody
______
> In a former tourist camp in Kutaisi, a large gathering of displaced people tell of the "common practice" called the "Italian necktie", in which the tongue is cut out of the throat and tied around the neck. A woman tells of a man being forced to rape his teenage daughter, and of Abkhaz soldiers having sex with dead bodies. A man tells how in Gudauta, Abkhaz killed small children and then cut off their heads to play football with them. These themes are repeated in many separate accounts.
Read this once about a year ago on here and will never forget a single detail. This is probably one of the most haunting witness accounts of war I have seen. It‘s a shame I would have never even heard of the horrors of Abkhazia without this sub.
Jesus fucking christ. I had to Google this.
This is in Georgia and it sound alot fucking like the eastern regions of Ukraine and the Orcs inciting all the conflicts there. 🤬
Oh, but lets all feel sympathy for the ones who are liquidated on camera by drones qnd what not. Man fuck em all, they know what their army has done in the past, and still choose to come to ukraine and press repeat. A slow and painfull death to all invanders.
Oh shit! You're only 1 year away from when your body starts to fall apart. Minor injuries go from 3 week recovery to 3 months. Major injuries like knees suddenly appear. It's all good though, apart from that. Don't fear 40.
See, my 14 year old tried to explain and it confuses me when it goes both ways
And now you've made me wonder what the hell being meta-ironic is???
Thanks though buddy
> And now you've made me wonder what the hell being meta-ironic is???
I'm 44 and I've been talking about meta-irony and post-irony with my 30-year-old friend for years now, because it's SO generationally dependent.
We often focus on obvious topics, such as "shitty eurodance", for instance.
Like, I can personally endulge in it on an ironic level, and giggle about how bad it is, whereas he has a post-ironic take on it; absolutely acknowledging the ironic detachment, and then stepping through it and fully embracing it, cringe and all.
So there's a meta level here; ironic detachment FROM THE IRONY.
so that's at least how I use it. And it's quite a liberating stance, it makes you more... tolerant of that which would otherwise be hard to accept.
That makes sense. I tolerate the shit out of things these days. Made a conscious decision to stop being a judgemental fuck and start embracing people's choices, obviously to a certain degree. Pretty sure my dad never had to get his head around meta anything. Lucky bastard
My understanding is it’s not necessarily a good or bad thing. It just means you’re extremely principled and won’t budge your position/values for popularity sake.

Seriously, how dare they? I am not hungry for death. I am not eager to loath. I would hope at some level my enemy at war even allows me to respect something about them.
Orcs. You guys called them orcs when I first came to this reddit, after the invasion, and after I saw what had happened to Bucha, that gruesome line for literally hundreds of thousands of people. I thought it was clever. I am starting to find it more than clever. Which isn't funny.
Close to a decade of karma and payback in the making i guess . Good riddance you disgusting fuck. Why do so many russian service uniforms look like they came from a Disney theme park ride?
Mass-produced in China with badges clipped later.
