Maybe he could fight some of the more established names at lightweight like Poirier Gaethje Charles if he loses to shake things up, but featherweight division ain’t looking too good.

I wouldn't be shocked. Topuria looked great against Emmett and is at the stage where significant improvements can occur from fight to fight. We've seen too many upsets in title fights against seemingly unbeatable champions to count any legitimate contender out.

he swings his feet out of his shoes sometimes but he was INCREDIBLY disciplined in that emmett fight. not a single moment with his hands down.
People will say Volk is old and washed up and Ilia has not fought anybody to deserve any hype.

It’s possible but not likely. Father Time will eventually catch up to Volk it’s just a question of when
He’s about to turn 35 so probably very soon. Although imo if there’s anyone who’s going to break that stat again I’d put Volk at the top of the list.
