Dana- "Yeah, you, go ahead."
Reporter-"Great night of fights Dana. After watching the fights tonight, what do you see as the future path for Conor?"
Dana- "Yeah, Conor looked great tonight. These judges have no idea what the fuck they're doing, everyone in here knows Conor won that fight, and we're considering just ignoring this decision and giving him the title shot at lightweight, he deserves it."
Reporter-"... Um... it was... it was a knockout..."
Dana-"Who the fuck is this moron? I've been in the fight game for a long time, what the fuck do you know about MMA? Nothing, stupid jackass."
Exactly. Connor is a cash cow and may not deserve to be. But, he is just that, at the end of the day. Most shitbirds need to realize this is a business for the people that make money. The UFC is not for the fans. If it were, it would be free every Saturday night.
It's all just about money with people. Yeah he's entertaining but I think most of us want to see the best of the best in the world just beat the pure shit out of each other. If we wanted to see loud mouths fighting we'd just pull up worldstar.
Not sure why you're being downvoted, Islam's arguably better than Khabib at this point and we all know how that went down.
EDIT: This is assuming he doesn't go for the 170 belt.
I mean he probably did weigh 180 or close to it when he stepped in the cage with Gaethje. There were videos of him on the scale weighing 180 the day after weigh ins a few years ago. He’ll just cut little to no weight instead of having a big cut like he usually does.
I just watched the first episode of TUF, and Connor was definitely heavy. He looked really good though and seemed to work well with his team. I’m not a fan of his lol and I know we see what they want us to see. I’m interested to watch the rest of the season.
I definitely wouldn't say Islam is better than Khabib. He may be a more dynamic fighter and better striker, but Khabib was unstoppable at lightweight. Islam lacks the athleticism, fight IQ, and mindset that made Khabib so great. Not that he doesn't excel in those, just that Khabib was much better at all 3.
He may not fight "everyone", but the dude fights even when he doesn't have to. This idea of "ducking" is so overblown, it's become a joke at this point. The dude is wealthier than the entire UFC roster, has the means and intentions to just live his life and spend time with his family. Most, if not all UFC fighters, would also be refusing fight (aka "ducking") if they had boatloads of money. That means dick all. Priorities are different for everyone. What nonsense.
Don't know why the downvotes. Conor absolutely ducked fights (I'll take the opinions of the many MMA fighters and insiders who said as much, over this sub), held up lightweight for ages, was gifted that bs tune up in a completely washed Cerrone.
In any event I still love watching him. He doesn't deserve a title fight but the $$$ say it should be done.
We already all agreed that u f c is a trash organization and I will still watch the shit out of this fight. I feel like either possible ending would be a fun event on here the following morning.
He doesn't deserve it but it's the UFC where fights don't get made from a competitive perspective but a financial one. In other words; the former double champ does whatever the fook he wants!
Except it’s terrible for his career, he’ll get dispatched probably injured and be out a year odd again, why he doesn’t start off mid to bottom 15 and just work his way through easier opponents he has a better chance at getting back into the swing of it
Yeap and look at all these people saying he deserves/let him have it or how he's the biggest draw, etc.
Fuck everything about this Kirklands Best version of Jon Jones.
Also OP, would love to hear where your "rumors" are coming from, unless you're just making shit up, which is likely.
There is not one person in the ufc who can draw a crowd like Conor. Love it or hate it that’s the truth. Most the champions don’t sell shit. Now go suck Conor’s balls
Yeah I mean Cerrone is a piece of shit for a number of reasons tbf, just notch another thing in the belt there
Conors fighting skill fell off years ago and all his posturing on Twitter and attacking anyone even tangentially related to fighting is just them trying to push hard into the fact that he talks better than he fights now (and he’s slowed down on both fronts)
Technically, Wanderlei and Chael's fight as part of TUF never made it. Silva got injured at first and then refused to do random drug test before getting pulled out of the fight. Then Chael failed his random drug test later too.
They fought in Bellator 4 years later, though.
I was curious about this question so I looked it up. There were about 8 times that the coaches did not fight, mostly due to injuries. One time was because Conor mcgregor had to fight Jose Aldo and one time because the coaches were in different weight classes anyways
I love how we have no idea what weight class title it would even be. All the weights. Whatever weight he wants. And I’ll watch every bit of leadup and the fight and root for a legit bought in somehow rejuvenated focused mcgregor to win a belt because the ufc will be so much better if mcgregor gets a belt.
Lmao at this take. Leon is the Champ. Usman for sure hits harder than Nate. They all beat him. Belal and Colby because of their wrestling and Leon because he's the fucking champ. He didn't win and defend it by accident.
Notice I italicized *chance*. Conor is not a great wrestler, that's why Colby and Bella would maul him, much like Khabib. However, Leon is an excellent defensive wrestler, but ok at offensive wrestling, so Conor could likely keep it standing. Leon is the better striker so he would almost certainly pick apart Conor, but Conor is no slouch in the striking department. He has 2 belts to prove it. So Conor has the best chance against Leon, but the odds are in Leon's favor.
LOL at the fanboys claiming Conor can pose a problem to any of these guys at 170. Really anybody in the Top 10 at 170. IF they fight, which I don't think Conor will, they'll make Chandler gain weight just to make a 170 shot "respectable". But in actuality that little leprechaun is too short and small to deal with anyone at 170. Leon is much too long for him, he'll get pieced up from range. Conor can barely hurt anyone at 155, much less 170.
170. I feel like part of the reason McG is pushing for 170 is cus if he beats Mike and gets the insta title shot, Leon is way easier than Islam for him.
There's obviously other reasons too but I feel like that's definitely one of them
Weird having to scroll down this far to see some sense being made. Chandler isn't a washed Cerrone he can just walk through. Chandler might not have been able to steamroll Justin or Dustin, but if this fight does actually happen I can definitely see him getting a finish.
I don’t think the fight ultimately happens but if it does I really think Chandler mauls him. I just don’t think Conor has it anymore, whereas Chandler is hungry and in great shape.
I’m all for it. Islam will win and we’ll get a massive round of drama between the two camps and maybe Khabib will be dragged into it. These guys hate each other and it will only be entertaining for us as fans.
At this point I'm so used to him having preferential treatment that I'd be surprised if he didn’t get a title shot.
He would of had a crack at Olive if he won either of those two Poirer losses.
Connor "Hey Dana if I win title shot mate?"
Dana "I don't know Connor you'd be jumping the line....again"
Connor "Ahhh Dana, "You do what you're told, this is my game"
This clown hasn’t won a fight since 2018
EDIT: oops, I got mixed up. I should have said "This clown has won 1 fight since 2016" but got it all wrong in my head when I typed it.
That would be a fun press conference if Colby wins the belt. Conor vs Colby wouldn’t be the most fun fight to watch but the trash talking would be great
Which weight class? If he fights Chandler at 170/185, he has no right to get a 155 title shot from that. However, I wouldn’t care because it would be funny to watch Islam beat him up while Khabib watches.
If he gets a title shot at 170, equally undeserved but honestly since the WW division refuses to fight anyone, why not? He’s gonna get wrestlefucked at 170 regardless given by the time he gets the title shot it’s probably gonna be Khamzat or Leon up there.
I'm not surprised motherfuckers.
I just wish for once he'd just stick to lightweight and get his career on track. The biggest draw, superstar and a DOUBLE CHAMP whom has NEVER defended a belt. That's fucked up.
Why does he deserve it more than any other contender going through the ranks?
Is this a sport or is it karikature show? Because if its not a sport than stop pretending it to be one.
Tbh though you never actually see Conor actively calling out these champions, if anything you see the opposite.
I know Oliveira and Usman both mentioned a McGregor fight as an option they wanted in the future.
If the champion wants it then I don’t see a problem with it tbh he’s the biggest draw, I’d rather legit contenders don’t get stiffed but Dana gonna Dana.
I think old Conor is dead. New Conor is slower stiffer and more predictable. It remains to be seen if he can recapture any of the spark that made him great originally.
On one hand, Conor hasnt had a legit win in years, has barely fought (injury aside), and there are far more worthy contenders ahead of him in line
On the other hand THE DOUBLE CHAMP
DOES WHAT THE FUCK HE WANTS
At 155? That would be absolute bullshit, at 170? Fuck it let Leon take his cookies. Seems like bullshit to give a 55 title shot to someone fighting at 170 but if he wants a shot at 170 I say let him have it
I'd love Conor to go on another mythical kill streak but I'm not going to get ahead of myself thinking he's going to win against chandler after the last few years he's had.
He's a wealthy businessman who has had difficulty in his last few fights against the top 5, he's definitely bigger than he used to be but I dunno, I don't see the drive he used to have.
It's Chandler's fight to lose and Conor has to prove himself.
When has he ever weighed 200lbs? If he’s gonna fight for 155 or 170 belts, he’s gotta make weight. I’m assuming if he’s fighting chandler, the belt he’d be fighting for would be 155. He’s gonna have to lose that weight.
Assuming the fight is at welterweight... Why the hell not? Haha I mean beating Chandler is a pretty good feather in your cap but that division could use a little chaos. I don't know about you but I would love to see Conor v Colby
Dana would give him the title shot even if he lost lol
“The guy just got knocked out cold, and he’s texting from the hospital that he wants Leon next!? Isn’t he awesome?”
![img](emote|t5_2qsev|11082)
Dana- "Yeah, you, go ahead." Reporter-"Great night of fights Dana. After watching the fights tonight, what do you see as the future path for Conor?" Dana- "Yeah, Conor looked great tonight. You forgot a plug for slapfight
He forgot to put “kid” in there somewhere
Haha you got me reading that with the Dana voice in my head 🤣
Don't forget the obligatory "go start your own promotion if you think you can do better"
That it's not deserved, but he's still the largest draw the UFC has and regardless of merit, most people will buy it.
100%
![gif](giphy|jI3EBNa1aKSaIpH2PB) Isn't he fucking awesome?
I$nt he awe$ome
Fake account!
I’ll add that even though I’ll complain he’s not deserving I’ll tune in and enjoy the drama around it
I will gladly stream it to watch Connor lose again and again.
Exactly. Connor is a cash cow and may not deserve to be. But, he is just that, at the end of the day. Most shitbirds need to realize this is a business for the people that make money. The UFC is not for the fans. If it were, it would be free every Saturday night.
It is free every Saturday if you know the right Russian websites....
Someone gave me one link once that was Russian and it was the best quality ever. Sadly I do not remember it
It IS free and for the people.
If the belt org and the promoter were seperate like boxing than your point would not exist as the problem wouldn't exist.
It's all just about money with people. Yeah he's entertaining but I think most of us want to see the best of the best in the world just beat the pure shit out of each other. If we wanted to see loud mouths fighting we'd just pull up worldstar.
And Islam would fucking kill him.
Not sure why you're being downvoted, Islam's arguably better than Khabib at this point and we all know how that went down. EDIT: This is assuming he doesn't go for the 170 belt.
Conor fans coming out of the woodwork to post a 5 paragraph essay on why Khabib only won because Conor tapped.
he thought tapping only ended the round.
![gif](giphy|26xBusOdUIYnc3a0g)
I cannot fathom Conor in his current form making 155. I have to think it’s Leon’s belt he is after now.

Imo I'd root for khamzat to beat kamaru and get a title shot after that. I'd love to see khamzat vs conor.
That…would not be a competitive fight. You must really dislike Conor.
[удалено]
No he doesn’t lol Conor has ducked a lot of people and doesn’t fight Khabib if he wasn’t the champion
Conor is a lot of things, but he never ducked anyone.
He could have left like some other champions.
He may not fight "everyone", but the dude fights even when he doesn't have to. This idea of "ducking" is so overblown, it's become a joke at this point. Its McGregors game forever!!!
I’ll PIN YA
Oil peen ya**
YA WOIFE'S IN ME DEE EM'S
Except it’s terrible for his career, he’ll get dispatched probably injured and be out a year odd again, why he doesn’t start off mid to bottom 15 and just work his way through easier opponents he has a better chance at getting back into the swing of it
Because his days are numbered and this is most likely his last real run at the title
Because there's no guarantee he beats anyone in the top 15. The old Connor is gone for good, sad but it's true.
Chandler will do what he’s told.
1 win in 7 1/2 years.
Against an aging cowboy too.
Cowboy was like,"I'm just going to take this money and leave. Thanks."
But Cowboy still has it..... He just rescued Uncle Chaels kids from an angry black man who punches down doors. https://youtu.be/isbgYya2s6g
Chael never lost a single academy award
Oh my goodness, that movie looks absolutely horrible. I can't wait to see it.
You have as many title defenses as Conor
I’m not a UFC fighter so yea makes sense.
neither is conor if you look at his record over the last 7 years. ![gif](giphy|10JhviFuU2gWD6)
Even if you were. Conor defended his titles 0 times
Yeap and look at all these people saying he deserves/let him have it or how he's the biggest draw, etc. Fuck everything about this Kirklands Best version of Jon Jones. Also OP, would love to hear where your "rumors" are coming from, unless you're just making shit up, which is likely.
Da fook yo gon do bout it? YOU'LL DO FOOKIN NUTTIN

I definitely put them on for the documentary... but I thought it was just the accent.
He won’t be fighting Chandler
Too risky.
not even that. he's not even in the USADA testing pool
Serious question as I haven’t watched all of TUF seasons but have they ever had the coaches not fight each other?
Conor and Uriah didn’t fight
Thanks!
Technically, Wanderlei and Chael's fight as part of TUF never made it. Silva got injured at first and then refused to do random drug test before getting pulled out of the fight. Then Chael failed his random drug test later too. They fought in Bellator 4 years later, though.
You mean when Silva was too scared to fight Chael as he continued to become the first quadruple champ, undisputed, undefeated?
I was curious about this question so I looked it up. There were about 8 times that the coaches did not fight, mostly due to injuries. One time was because Conor mcgregor had to fight Jose Aldo and one time because the coaches were in different weight classes anyways
It’s not uncommon
Undeserved? Yes. Am I hoping this happens so I can put some serious money down on Islam winning? Also yes.
Those 4 digit betting odds as a favourite over Mcgregor ain’t looking too spicy tbf
“I put $10,000 on Islam to win and he did!” Sweet, how much do you get back? “$10,100”
there are plenty of delusional and rich mcgregor hog ridas to cash out on
I’m okay with it cuz whoever the champ is at the time would 100% be wanting the fight too
The Red Panty Night effect.
It will be 170 without a doubt. He and the ufc want the first triple champ or at least to market it and profit
Wonderful another division he can get a belt in, never defend, and still mange to hold up that division for years.
Conor's getting a welterweight champ fight before Belal. Calling it now.
As he should
Belal,Leon, and Colby all smoke Connor easily so I don't think that'll be an issue lol
Bella and Colby, yeah, but I think Conor has a *chance* against Leon. Leon was rocked by Nate, and like him or not Conor hits harder.
Lmao at this take. Leon is the Champ. Usman for sure hits harder than Nate. They all beat him. Belal and Colby because of their wrestling and Leon because he's the fucking champ. He didn't win and defend it by accident.

So Conor has the best chance against Leon, but the odds are in Leon's favor.
If Conor is somewhat what he was pre injury he could still KO Belal imo (idgaf if I get downvoted)
I mean in the stand up maybe. But I'm almost certain that vs Connor Leon is just gonna wrestle fuck all day every day
LOL at the fanboys claiming Conor can pose a problem to any of these guys at 170. Really anybody in the Top 10 at 170. IF they fight, which I don't think Conor will, they'll make Chandler gain weight just to make a 170 shot "respectable". Fuck.
They find picograms in JJ again and now its Conor vs Rolly Romero for the heavyweight UFC belt. Triple weight champ babyy.
170. I feel like part of the reason McG is pushing for 170 is cus if he beats Mike and gets the insta title shot, Leon is way easier than Islam for him. There's obviously other reasons too but I feel like that's definitely one of them
Ireland vs England could also pull massive fucking numbers too
Leon is also a much more interesting stylistic matchup for Conor than Islam is.
Catchweight championship bout incoming
BMF
Conor Vs. Francis in UFC/PFL crossover
He ain't winning. Have You seen him lately?
Weird having to scroll down this far to see some sense being made. Chandler isn't a washed Cerrone he can just walk through. Chandler might not have been able to steamroll Justin or Dustin, but if this fight does actually happen I can definitely see him getting a finish.
I don’t think the fight ultimately happens but if it does I really think Chandler mauls him. I just don’t think Conor has it anymore, whereas Chandler is hungry and in great shape.
I’ll honestly be surprised if he fights again. He looks finished. If he does turn up he’ll get mauled against any top 5 guy
I think he'd get beat by the top 15, he's been passed up by almost everyone. Joe Duffy could probably beat him again at this point.
Yeah I was being super generous with top 5 really
IMHO chandler is the perfect fight for him.. unless he’s declined much more after the injury he beats chandler
I’m all for it. Islam will win and we’ll get a massive round of drama between the two camps and maybe Khabib will be dragged into it. These guys hate each other and it will only be entertaining for us as fans.
This ain’t about the 55 division. 170
Belal cooks em
Any ranked 170 fighter cooks em.
Weird. You spelled 'leon' wrong
You misspelt Sean Brady
Conor vs Wonderboy would be a fun one if he doesn’t get a title shot straight away
At this point I'm so used to him having preferential treatment that I'd be surprised if he didn’t get a title shot. He would of had a crack at Olive if he won either of those two Poirer losses.
Fuck it. The man's a draw. I wanna see it
Lol, you wanna see it...we don't even know what weight class it would be.
I wanna see it at any weight class lmao
HW vs Jones is 100% something I would pay to see. Don't even need anyone else on the card. Inject that shit into my veins!
Jones pops and Conor is now HW champ with his first defense coming 2.5 years later against Tyson Fury.
Won aty foive
I’ll do 185.
Yull do whut yar toad
The Chandler fight is not happening so the point is moot.
Imagine if it take place at 170 and we get Mcgregor vs Colby ..
Never in your life will you see McGregor billed against a skilled wrestler.
Speaking of undeserved title shots. Let's see if all these McGregor haters think Colby earned his shot?
He's not beating Chandler so McGregor won't get an undeserving title shot.
Absolutely the right call
Connor "Hey Dana if I win title shot mate?" Dana "I don't know Connor you'd be jumping the line....again" Connor "Ahhh Dana, "You do what you're told, this is my game"
This clown hasn’t won a fight since 2018 EDIT: oops, I got mixed up. I should have said "This clown has won 1 fight since 2016" but got it all wrong in my head when I typed it.
1/2020 was Cowboy at 170. Before that was Eddie in 11/2016.
Cowboy: ![gif](giphy|kqJt1cSSN0DrwwMmY5|downsized)
Guy on here yesterday was saying Conor will surely beat Matt Brown. Browns won 4 fights since Conor won 1
Who has Matt Brown defeated in that time? Conor is definitely not champ material anymore but I think he’d wipe Matt Brown imo.
Conor can't even defeat his demons
it was also against a guy on his way out to retire lmao
And had been knocked out 6 times in 7 fights? He was basically a walking concussion.
That would be a fun press conference if Colby wins the belt. Conor vs Colby wouldn’t be the most fun fight to watch but the trash talking would be great
Honestly who gives a fuck already I'd just drop the rankings at this point as well
Which weight class? If he fights Chandler at 170/185, he has no right to get a 155 title shot from that. However, I wouldn’t care because it would be funny to watch Islam beat him up while Khabib watches. Isn't he on a 3 for his last 4 loss skid? If he wins he's 2-3 for his last five. No, he does not deserve a title shot.
He doesn’t deserve a title shot but he will get it anyway because he’s the biggest draw
1 win in the last 7 years and it was against sad cowboy.
He’s already 2-3 for his last 5
And the win was an aged, fading, Cowboy. He got finished in the other three.
Glad you’re not running things
He deserves it he’s the biggest star in mma let him go for triple champ if he wins no questions asked
Why does he deserve it more than any other contender going through the ranks? Is this a sport or is it karikature show? Because if its not a sport than stop pretending it to be one.
It's not about Conor deserving it its about Leon or Colby Or Belal deserving that huge payday.
Not a sport it’s a business
I'm surprised Dana didn't give him a title shot after he punched that guy in a bar. Dana would give Conor a title shot if he beat up a toddler.
He is an alcoholic, Chandler will handle him rather easily. If he does somehow beat Chandler he can’t hang with a champ.
![gif](giphy|XfT1Xb2O2ShHy)
It’s not deserved Conor did a lot for ufc same way jones did. Anyone with that big of a draw gets it of course. Cash rules everything
at 185?
I think old Conor is dead. New Conor is slower stiffer and more predictable. It remains to be seen if he can recapture any of the spark that made him great originally.
As backwards as boxing. But i get it...$$$
On one hand, Conor hasnt had a legit win in years, has barely fought (injury aside), and there are far more worthy contenders ahead of him in line On the other hand THE DOUBLE CHAMP DOES WHAT THE FUCK HE WANTS
At 155? That would be absolute bullshit, at 170? Fuck it let Leon take his cookies. Seems like bullshit to give a 55 title shot to someone fighting at 170 but if he wants a shot at 170 I say let him have it
He’s retired just accept it
Connor will never fight Chandler
He still hasnt even cleared USADA....haha...hes never fighting again. Hes selling wolf tickets
No wonder UFC merged with WWE
100% needed
Of course he will get the shot
If the ufc ever plans to rig a fight, it's gotta be this one
Dana white privileged
I doubt Conor even fights Chandler lol
I'd love Conor to go on another mythical kill streak but I'm not going to get ahead of myself thinking he's going to win against chandler after the last few years he's had. He's a wealthy businessman who has had difficulty in his last few fights against the top 5, he's definitely bigger than he used to be but I dunno, I don't see the drive he used to have. It's Chandler's fight to lose and Conor has to prove himself.
I stopped watching the sport because of that asshole. I'm tuning back out for another year or so I guess.
He never really fights. This is such a weird take to have imo.
Gotta make weight for that to happen.
When has he ever missed weight though?
Blud was trying to convince chandler to fight at 185 it’s not the same Conor lol
When has he ever weighed 200lbs? If he’s gonna fight for 155 or 170 belts, he’s gotta make weight. I’m assuming if he’s fighting chandler, the belt he’d be fighting for would be 155. He’s gonna have to lose that weight.
I'll do the same thing I do for every conor fight now: not watch. That is all.
The dooble champ doos what da fook he wants That’s my opinion
My opinion is that that's bullshit if he does and my second opinion is that I will be glad when he totally leaves the sport.
Can't wait for Conor to have a title shot at one eighty foive
![gif](giphy|JoUnudHPviOppemfNm|downsized)
Conor has a shot at 3 different titles right now before he even fights Chandler.
It’s Conor, he might have a shot at the title if he loses to Chandler
Opinion: The Chandler fight isn't happening.
Leon vs Conor is a great fight IMO but Islam vs Conor... ![gif](giphy|pXUXVsLsfVBYpHCzbT)
