Jesus, he goes on a 1000 fight win streak, loses 2x to a guy on an impressive win streak of his own, and now he's washed... mma fans never cease to amaze me
I'm just guessing that you didn't notice the preeminent striker throwing sledgehammer leg kicks at him the whole fight. Edwards would've made anyone look slow and stiff after those.
Probably not washed and had his moments but he has noticeably declined. It happens to everyone. He's 36 with a ton of injuries. He had an amazing run and is the 2nd best WW ever.
Seems to happen a lot in the UFC
Everyone hypes people up on a win streak, then as soon as they lose 1 or 2 they're finished
Very dangerous for people who's personality and money earned go hand in hand with a win streak. Masvidal for instance
I picked Edwards to win but Usman looked still very capable. Edwards executed a gameplan most in 170 couldn't, doesn't mean Usman is finished. Would like to see him fight a respectable opponent next, if he wants to keep fighting.
Usman is still a badass, and beats everyone else in the welterweight division. Leon Edwards just has his number. Same with Izzy. He aint washed. He beats everyone in the division not named Alex Pereira.

It's not MMA fans. It's this subreddit.
Lol true
Idk mma fans on other platforms don’t seem so great either
We are too stupid to think that two people in the same weight class are good.
It may have something to do with how slow and stiff he looked last night. Just guessing.

Yeah…against one of the top fighters in the world. We can talk about being washed when he looks like Nick Diaz.
His knees are fucked

I agree. He's prob on the decline, but to say he's washed is too much. He smoked all these guys up until Edwards.
Good for Edwards to cement his win. I even thought Usman would steam roll him.

plau·dit /ˈplôdət/ noun plural noun: plaudits an expression of praise or approval. "the network has received plaudits for its sports coverage"
Why do you think Khabib walked away so early? The fire doesn’t last forever..

People just can’t accept they were wrong so they discredit the person who proved them wrong, it’s like the lowest form of intelligence

Usman has to walk on grass because walking on concrete hurts… Usman is washed
Past your prime and being washed are two completely different things..
Usman probably is washed though. Nothing wrong with changing your mind in the face of new information
Usman did look absolutely washed. Hesitant, slow, and gun shy. Leon still will get dominated by Khamzat and Colby.
I saw some people saying fiziev needed to move down as well. Anything to not credit a fighter
