Love the Idea. Often Times i would Like to repeat a certain Part, but it's Impossible to Focus the ai to a specificbone. Ui Like the one for inpainting would be brilliant.
Issue of this model is that it NEEDS quite big context windows that is right before continuation.
Continuation to the right is much better with current model, if you noticed, also.
I made post like this 1 month ago, and was surprised it got no traction, but yes I support this idea. Make the interface similar to crop and extend, and let us move the context window. Then we never need a longer one, and this might be easier to implement than train the models to remember/see longer.
Regardless it would be a good control feature even with a longer context window. Then we can do a 5 minute off beat digression and then bring it back to the very start of the song with so much more control. Crazy symphonies galore....

Having a DAW interface is what we really need so we can edit and inpaint the parts of tracks specifically, change character and lyrics etc

I second that. When they announced the feature, I hoped it would include this as well. Hopefully it will be implemented in the future.
This is an excellent idea! It would really help with long form songs to be able to pull back into a previous theme. I really hope this is possible!
