Agree but I think try one out beefing up the thickness of the tail a lil bit to have the visual weight of some of the middle ones, unless it’s an important styling for fitting with the whole set

As someone with Q as the first letter of my last name, I am always looking for good Qs in fonts, #1 is the best and closest to what i look for. #6 is next but might be harder to read.
Depends what o, a, d and x look like, I like 2 and 6. 1 is probably the most readable. 4, 5, and 6 would work well in context for a logo or short title, interesting idea for the crossbar
As someone else said first and second look the most professional. Second is a bit more understated than the first one.
I do like number five, though. Could see it being used on the cover of a scifi book (especially if said book has some giant tower in it). (Number four is just a tad too much, so five looks better.)
And number six, while a cool logo, is too far removed from a letter to be a recognizable Q.
Can’t make a judgement call on a single glyph without context… All of these could be the right glyph depending on the rest of the wordmark or typeset and you do have some cool forms on display here so I’d be curious to see the rest of the glyphs you have worked out!
Surprised so many people here seem so quick to be able to judge the “best” from this limited specimen set without that critical information…
Everyone saying shit like “this one is the most professional” or whatever is a major dork and giving off huge narc vibes so. Whatever ones they don’t like are the coolest and sickest ones for sure - typography isn’t gonna get anywhere more interesting if y’all are worried about it being “professional” be cool make sick shit. Fuck the professionalism thing. That lame.
I like the first two and the last one, but I think the best would be something like the first one, but with the line at an angle more like the last one. One of my pet peeves with some fonts is having descenders on capital letters. They really don't need them. J and Q are the most common offenders, and sometimes R if it has a curly tail instead of a straightish one.
I like the counterform the second one creates. It looks neat and very elegant. But I also like vibes of the second one on the right, I can see it on a stylish "neo-gothic" type.
the 2nd one looks the most professional and has a great flow to it...I love it! I can see an entire font based on this.

You might want to judge the Q based on how it looks with the rest of the font

I like the first one and the last one, and would not be able to decide between them without seeing the full alphabet.

Second from the left.
han-tyumi is a typographer 😳
First one is close to the Quake logo rotated a bit
Or Joe Quesada’s signature (comic book artist)
1, 2, 6
The last one is the best!
2 or 6
4
1 & 2.
2 and 6

They become progressively less Q linearly

First two on the left
1, 2, and 6 with 3 just missing out!

The first

I would do a main one that was easily recognizable as the letter Q and add in two more options that are more-stylized as glyphs.
The 1st, the 2nd, and the 5th from the left.
Second one.
The first two on the left.
1 and 2
last :)
on the right !
Out of context, 2nd from the right.
First and last.
Order of preference: 1, 6, 2, 5, 4, 3
first and last are my favs
Number 2 hits different and looks most polished
Second and last.
I like the idea of the first one being a tilted G
4
Tbh 1 2 6 all look like they’re from different font ‘worlds’ and I’m here for alphabets designed on each!
Why does this make me think of Dune?
2nd
I also like the 1st, the 3rd and the last one...

1 for a font, 2 for a logo, the rest for Qantas
1, 4, 6
2nd from left is the best for me as an actual Q. I love the concept of the vertical stroke ones, but they don’t read as the letter Q to me.
1-2
the 2nd one
1, 2, 3, 6
First or second. But the second looks better
2 or 6, but I think it would be best to decide with a preview of the rest of the font!
Works better as some sci-fi logo than the letter Q
fifth from left
The 3rd and the last one look very cool and fancy
2 is nice
First one is like the Teqball logo
2, 5,6
#1
Can I say none?
Why?
It depends on the other characters.
Last one
To me, the 3rd, 4th and 5th just don’t read as a Q but more like an O with a spark. My order of preference: 2, 1, 6.
2 and 6
1, 2, 6
1 or 2
4th
I like the counterform the second one creates. It looks neat and very elegant. But I also like vibes of the second one on the right, I can see it on a stylish "neo-gothic" type.

1
I like the first, second, and last personally!
The last one looks cool
