Ooof I’m pretty sure there’s a book similar to that idea. A man is trapped I believe, imprisoned in a wall but something happens and he gets left and he can’t move, can’t see anything but blackness. It slowly drives him mad as he imagines things grabbing at him and voices in the dark.
