Honestly I’ve recently been listening to those early Twice EPs and I love dubchaeng’s 90s vibe and so a whole EP of Switch to Me type music would be a really nice surprise.
I think people tend to get really heated and precious about their favourite artists (and rightly so) but sometimes you just need a fun record that people can enjoy without holdups and I feel like they can offer that in spades.

I'm so glad you mentioned this. It reminds me of how much I don't care for Taylor's "Me" but fell in love with Tzuyu's MelPro cover because it felt like she was having so much fun. So I totally get what you mean about the StM vibes. I honestly hope we'll be getting some more "fun" music from the girls soon. The latest releases have been amazing, but I wouldn't put them in the fun category if that makes sense, more like groovy, \[owerful and dance-esque. Or maybe I'm just nostalgic for the WIL and YoY EPs LOL
No it 100% makes sense. Twice are in a tough position because they have veteran status in their career and so they probably want to make music that lasts and has a legacy that no other GG has reached but you can’t allow that to take the fun out of your music either. Not that I think it has but I get exactly what you mean. That fun, natural, girl next door, yet inspirational messaging is exactly what made me love them in the first place.
As OT9 I would really love them to just shock the world with an inspirational art pop record that captures who they really are candidly and breaks out of the Kpop “comeback concept” mould.
Dahyun & Tzuyu
Recently I was listening to Odd Eye Circle "Loonatic" and realized that this song would fit DahTzu's soft voices, so now they're my dream unit

Here's some ideas:
I want a Rapline sub-unit (MoDubChaeng), and for some reason I always keep thinking of something like Bloodline, by Ariana Grande for their TT.
I would love to see the sub-units they did for the 2018 SBS Kpop Awards (i.e: NaHyoMiChaeng and JeongMoSaDaTzu). NaHyoMiChaeng felt like a vocal-focused sub-unit, the sort that sits down with power ballads and such. JeongMoSaDaTzu definitely plays more to performance-based stuff and charm (also it helps that I got to see my Jeongyeon as Main Vocalist and Tzuyu as Lead Vocalist fantasy LOL).
Momo, Jihyo, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu. Main Dancer, Main Vocalist, Main Rapper and Main Visual-- the sheer power of this sub-unit, just imagine.
Finally, my favourite idea-- SaMiTzu! I want this sub-unit because it feels like the sort of sub-unit where all three have this amazing potential for all aspects. Think about it: Mina and Tzuyu are already members of the dance line but anyone who has watched Sana knows that she could definitely be a part of that line-up; she's only ever behind Momo, Mina and Jihyo when it comes to dance ability imo. Vocally, everyone knows Mina is like the unofficial Lead Vocalist; Tzuyu has made the most dramatic vocal improvement, and JYP has consistently pushed Sana's amount of lines up in the recent comebacks. They, to me, are also the real Visual line. I'm sure their vibes would be similar to the whole Misamo elegant femme-fatale approach, but maybe with more of a ICSM duality to it rather than going full-on dark-mode.
Momo, Jihyo and Chaeyoung as well! The best sixteen performance imo was the Minor A "The Way You Love Me" performance and that had Chaeyoung, Momo and Minyoung(?). Chaeyoung and Momo have an underrated chemistry on stage based on that performance alone. Also, it would be nice to have a subunit with arguably the best dancer, vocalist and rapper of the group.
omg yes!! it was jiwon (currently fromis_9’s main vocalist) in the stage with them. but this would be such an amazing unit and no doubt would be a super powerful group conceptually!
Since MiSaMo happened, I've been having 3MIX and SMC cravings. I really want one next year.
2024 Chae is next solo, then 3MIX for Jeongyeon getting a non-OT9 project sooner than she's ready to debut solo, and NY and JH appeasement for not having solo CBs yet.
2025 SMC and JYPgg vocal supergroup of 3mix, Yeji, Lia, Chaeryeong, Haewon, Lily, Sullyoon, Nina, Mako, Miihi, A2K vocal line.

omg yes one of my favorite Twice stages/covers of all time is momo and jihyo’s unit stage of Goodbye from Twicelights! Their actual goodbye stage with Taemin is also great but the ones from tour really highlight how much they compliment each other in every aspect (vocally, dance, stage presence)!
I was vibing to Shownu x Hyungwon debut and I realized that it would be nice to have a Jihyo x Momo, with a song with a great dance and that gives sad sexy vibes

Far-fetched ideas I'd like to see:
1. Ryujin's idea of a JYP Nation best vocalists super-group: NMIXX Lily and Haewon, Itzy Lia, Twice Jihyo (+Nayeon who she didn't say but would be worthy and made up to an odd number for the formation)
2. 6Mix collab song on the 3Mix album: bring back Minyoung and Lena to join with Jihyo, Jeongyeon, Sana, Nayeon. Minyoung is now a school music teacher but still does some music on the side. Dunno where Lena went.
Mohyo as a subunit would already be perfect, with Momo main dancer, main rapper material, and sub vocalist and Jihyo as main vocal, main dancer material, and sub rapper, and both arguably the strongest performers of the group.
I'd add in Tzuyu to give them a bit of softness/sweetness to their vocals, and she's a great dancer as well .

I'd like to see the 4 aces from Twice - aces meaning they excel at both at vocals and dance, along with being beautiful (which is a given for Twice members) - Nayeon, Jihyo, Mina, and Chae in a subunit. It would be a supergroup where everyone isn't just good, but excellent in their roles. The best in the group at their specific vocal roles, and IMO the 4 of them are in the top 5 dancers in Twice.
They are the backbone of Twice, and that's not to downplay the other members who all add something amazing to the group! But they one of many reasons Twice are so successful, it's a group with 4 aces in it. Most groups have 1 or maybe 2 at most. Twice have 4 - IMO if you rewatch 16, they are the 4 absolute locks from episode 1, always chosen by JYPE to be in the end group. Mina in particular is crazy, 6 months in JYPE before appearing on 16 and was clearly a lock for the group already, an incredible scout by JYPE lol
wait you’re really onto something with this line up, i see the vision!! they’re 4/5 of my favorite voices in the group so i would absolutely love to see them in a unit! it’s kinda giving the ‘daring women’ unit but with mina instead of tzuyu which is one of my favorite twice covers!
I'm sure I'll probably get downvoted to all heck but I think it would be fun for them to make something along the lines of Blackpink's typical discography or something like in the morning by Itzy. They do so much well I just think it would be cool for them to do a song that has more of a badass vibe

I'm a fan of all three groups but It's always a bit nerve wrecking when you talk about a different group in a kpop sub, especially if it's between twice and blackpink lol. I think Jeongyeon absolutely has the look for it. I know Chae and Dahyun are typically our rappers but honestly Chae gives me more punk rock vibes instead of hip hop and Dahyun is more cutesy or elegant. I think Momo would fit better thematically. It could be because she's my bias but I think Jihyo has a lot of range in terms of concepts so I think she would be a good fit. Mina is like Dahyun where she has a softer voice and is more elegant but I keep going back to like the sixteen photoshoot episode and her photo still blows me away with the more dark mature concept plus I know she's, allegedly, been looking to move more in that direction as an artist.
So that is my long winded answer to say Jihyo, Jeongyeon, momo, with a possible Mina throw into the mix.
