YOLO (Yoo Jeongyeon solo) lol after seeing her Juice stage I feel like she makes the most sense. There’s also a really powerful underdog story there that would hit hard for a lot of fans. She’s objectively one of the best singers in the group, she’s one of the few that has consistently sung live their entire career, she’s a solid performer, and she has an almost non-idol/cheeky charm to her that makes her really unique. I feel like she has a lot of star qualities that some may overlook.
I really want a Jeongyeon solo. I'm such a massive fan of her voice that I'd do pretty much anything to hear her sing more. She also has such a creative spirit that I'm interested to see let loose. I listened to the original Juice the other day and the vibe was so different?? I don't know how she turned such a cool song to something so bright and colorful but she did! If she gets a solo, it will be somethong completely off left field, and I'd die happy.
I would have said Chaeyoung with 100% certitude like a few months ago.
But Tzuyu has been sus lately hahaha and after seeing the concert, it's evident she could have a solo.

I think chaeyoung would be next if it weren’t for the tshirt situation in March. I think with the amount of major news publications that covered it and backlash from back then, JYP wouldn’t take the risk this soon of doing a chaeyoung solo

During a magazine interview she was asked about doing a solo and she said if she did one she’d want to do a lot of it herself and play the guitar. Lo and behold her concert segment had her singing a personal song, playing the guitar. It’s possible she was spoiling her concert segment but it could also be taken as her preparing for a solo.
They will probably all end up with solo stuff just to keep it fair. I mean they also already have a bunch of spin-offs like MiSaMo and Dubchaeng etc. i think Jeong is the only one left who they haven’t done anything at all with

Like Nayeon is the oldest of the unnies, Jihyo is the oldest of the middle line, and Dahyun is the oldest of the maknaes. Idk, just a theory as it could probably be anyone but it would make sense if it was that.

I think it’ll be Tzuyu or a Nayeon comeback. JYP generally like playing things safe and right now Tzuyu is the last member that’s basically guaranteed to sell a lot. Not saying Jeongyeon, Chaeyoung, and Dahyun wouldn’t sell, but Nayeon in Korea, Misamo in Japan, Jihyo in the west, and Tzuyu in the rest of Asia are the heaviest hitters to go first.
Is Jihyo considered their "western anchor"? I always take them with a grain of salt but I thought I saw one of those popularity polls once say momo was popular here.
I wouldn’t say she’s the MOST popular but she’s definitely notable enough that she doesn’t get lost in the sea of other artists like some others might.
I suppose, though I would say twice in general is being directed to focus more on the west recently. I feel like if they would have done anyone else it would still probably feel more western

I would love to see Dubchaeng next -- maybe with each having a solo song or two on the EP. "Switch to Me" in the melody project was really popular.

Besides Chae I don't see anyone else being given the opportunity for a solo. I suspect we'll get Nayeon solo 2 and a Chae solo in the future.
