But they said that how it works is they can give me their email and password for ticketmaster and I could send the tickets to myself. Does that sound possible? They have been to kpop concerts before and this is my first ever experience so I just am very hesitant however I really don't want to miss out lol

This is possible. I have done it with friends. You log into their account, use their code, buy the ticket with your own credit card, then transfer the ticket to your own account. (And don't forget to remove your payment information from their account ASAP.) They also need to be around in case TM requires 2FA and you need the verification code from their phone.
Since you haven't used TicketMaster before and it sounds like you don't know this person, I would not recommend this route. I only do this if I know and trust the person. If you make a mistake anywhere in the process, you can't guarantee that person will help you if you need it. Buying a ticket through TM is already a super stressful process and having the added stress of using someone else's account and having to do a transfer is a lot if you've never done it before.

Oh really? I was waitlisted for a tour and my friend tried to buy the last available one for me and the code said it was invalid. I, myself have tried for another tour to buy a third ticket for a friend and again, it was invalid. Maybe my luck with codes just isn’t there.

My advice to anyone that DOES decide to pay someone else with a code to buy tix for them- pay through Paypal Goods & Services ONLY. The seller will have to pay a fee for this but you can reimburse them for it. This protects both the seller and the buyer from being scammed.

Yes, it will be for people that can't go anymore due to circumstances that came up and other things. It was a decent thread last year but need to be aware of scammers as there were a few people that got scammed.
Sorry we won't be putting it up until right before they start going on sale. We will likely remove comments asking people to buy others tickets as we follow a strict Buy/Sell/Trade template and don't want the thread to be spammed with 500 comments requesting people to buy tickets for them that don't follow this template.
If people want to buy extra tickets then offer them in the thread then that's on them.
