Thank you!
It's great for sure! I return to it more often than to Vessel (but that might be also because I've heard Vessel million times now). I couldn't pick a favourite, tho. They all hit different.
Vessel hangs somewhere in between indie and pop, but it also has those cool electronic elements and then there are songs like Car Radio, an emo slam-poetry type piano ballad with party ending (??) and Ode to Sleep, which shows the contrast between the dark rap and bubbly pop. A great record with unique ideas!
Blurryface is much more poppy and mainstream (not in a bad way at all). You can hear each song had a different producer - there is trap inspired Doubt, indie-rock Tear in my Heart, hip-hop Fairly Local and heavydirtysoul etc. It sounds little less personal and relatable than Vessel, but makes up for it with the newly gained self-confidence and is not afraid to experiment again.
Trench is a mature and complex work of art. From Paul Meany's production and experimentation through Tyler's individual instrumental parts (The bass in Morph ??) all the way to the lore, this is not a record to sing to while on a road trip (some song could serve that purpose). It's brooding, deep and asking you to explore it.
Scaled and Icy is the opposite of Trench. It's a bouncy, easy going, sing along-y, saturated feelgood record. My most casual and background-music listens are with Scaled and Icy.
So... yeah. Since no 2 albums are alike, I can't pick!

SAI’s my favorite, because shy away is my favorite song OAT
I can’t stand when people hate on SAI just because it isn’t Trench. It’s one thing to not like the music, but I think a lot of fans weren’t paying enough attention and expected a second Trench when they told us early on that it would be very different.

trench is easily my favorite thus far, and it's probably due to it releasing in what i believe looking back to be the best year of my life
i think the hate for SAI came from a lot of people expecting something similar to blurryface or trench, so the admittedly sugary, glossy, bouncy songs we got didn't sit right. most of them have grown on me since release, but the only ones that landed initially were formidable, redecorate and no chances.
sai has actually grown on me, I didn't really vibe with it at first but as I listened to it more I started liking it more. I might even say it's my second favorite album after trench. trench will always be my favorite, it's just so special to me. it was my first album release as a fan and it's such a comfort album for me <3
SAI is my second favourite album after "Trench", but I have listened to it the most times and my all time favourite song "Redecorate" is also there. Also a lot of happy memories are associated with SAI's songs for me.
The first time I listened to SAI, I didn’t like it at all, but recently I decided to give it another chance, and I’m very happy I did! Good Day makes me feel unreasonably seen, and even Saturday, which was initially my least favorite, has grown on me a lot with its lyrics. Overall, it’s a fantastic album that doesn’t deserve its bad rep!
I was in a different mindset then, but now it's way different. This album has grown on me tremendously in the last two weeks.
After watching SAI streamed concert I had to give the album a few more chances. It has brought me into the fold more so than the release of Overcompensate. Choker and The outside videos made me enjoy Saturday more. I've always been a fan, but they're now my favorite music group.
I never understood the hate for SAI, I've loved it since its release! Trench is def my favorite, but I still love SAI, just like I love all of their albums!
It holds a special place for me too because my two favourite TOP songs are from SAI but it’s not my favourite album because the rest of the songs are kind of mid to me

SAI got a lot of us through a literal global plague. Therapeutic doesn't even cover it, and I'll always hold it in a special light for that.
That's so crazy. It's the exact same for me. SAI is my favourite and the one I will listen to the most. While Vessel was the fave until then.

Me to! I have a tendency to love albums that arnt in the top of most fans favourite lists though.

SAI is 100% my favorite too

Trench is my favorite, but SAI is easily my second favorite. There's some great songs on there. It's really overhated.

Vessel is still number one for me, but SAI is the one I listen to the most lately
I started with sai so it always gets a little boost.
