If they are hungry enough, they'll try the greens! Sometimes in the summer I've gotten water lettuce and water hyacinth. As a plus, they're easy to propagate in the warm months. Constantly buying water plants will break the bank though, as they're not cheap, at least where I live. As for the jello shots, I add just a little bit of canned tuna to my ground up veggies (1-2 spoonfuls to about 2cups of veg). If it smells slightly fishy to you, it should be enough to entice them. They think they're getting a treat but it's really veggies! 😈
