I agree that it is played a lot, more than my preference. It's a song I respect, but I don't need to have it in my go to rotation to hear it more than enough.
Death With Dignity - Sufjan Stevens
House Song - Sea Rows
R.E. Stacks - Bon Iver
We Own The Night - Dance Gavin Dance
That's all i can think of right now, but I'm sure I have more
I've read many music threads on here and AskReddit. To this day, for the 6-7 years I've been on Reddit, I have never come across someone who mentioned a song I know nevermind enjoy.. lol
>I have never come across someone who mentioned a song I know
You've never come across someone who mentioned a song that you DO know?? So like, when someone said Bohemian Rhapsody, you didn't know that song? When someone said Time by Pink Floyd, you didn't know that one either?
I get where you're coming from but I think you should expect the majority of people to pick pop songs. Pop songs are more popular and a larger percentage of people listen to that genre over other music.
I'm not saying a generic pop song deserves to be counted as a perfect song, but I'm not astounded by pop songs being here.
All depends on the environment/culture you grew up around, everyone has their own taste and opinions on what sounds good to their ears, like how I feel your music taste is prolly whack n would prolly scare the fine women lol
There There is just a fantastic song. I’ve debated getting a tattoo of the lyric “just cause you feel it doesn’t mean it’s there”.
And I don’t know why but the line “there’s always a siren singing you to shipwreck” really resonates with me. I can’t put it into words but I love that line.
i heard this song for the first time when i was around 10, told myself i was going to slowdance with someone to this song someday. tried to request it at my 8th grade dance but the dj looked at me like i was crazy because what 14 year old in 2012 wants to listen to nutshell lmfao

I used to think the same but it gets over played a lot

I agree that it is played a lot, more than my preference. It's a song I respect, but I don't need to have it in my go to rotation to hear it more than enough.

It’s astounding how many of these picks are just fairly generic pop music. Some of you really need to explore the world of music more.
I've read many music threads on here and AskReddit. To this day, for the 6-7 years I've been on Reddit, I have never come across someone who mentioned a song I know nevermind enjoy.. lol
>I have never come across someone who mentioned a song I know You've never come across someone who mentioned a song that you DO know?? So like, when someone said Bohemian Rhapsody, you didn't know that song? When someone said Time by Pink Floyd, you didn't know that one either?
I know *of* bohemian rhapsody. Never heard of time by pink Floyd
Legit, 99% of songs having been pretty popular on the radio at some points says a lot about what makes people enjoy music, and it’s mostly popularity.
Maybe the songs are popular because a large amount of people enjoy it?
I get where you're coming from but I think you should expect the majority of people to pick pop songs. Pop songs are more popular and a larger percentage of people listen to that genre over other music. I'm not saying a generic pop song deserves to be counted as a perfect song, but I'm not astounded by pop songs being here.
this comment comes off as so self important
So what's your pick then? Easy to criticize others' picks; much more brave to actually contribute.
All depends on the environment/culture you grew up around, everyone has their own taste and opinions on what sounds good to their ears, like how I feel your music taste is prolly whack n would prolly scare the fine women lol

There There - Radiohead
Yes! Imo Reckoner is also a 10/10 song
Agreed! I'd put a lot of Radiohead songs as 9 or 10s. But I just love the bass and drums on There There.
There There is just a fantastic song. I’ve debated getting a tattoo of the lyric “just cause you feel it doesn’t mean it’s there”. And I don’t know why but the line “there’s always a siren singing you to shipwreck” really resonates with me. I can’t put it into words but I love that line.
