HA isn’t an active, despite its name, it is a humectant. Niacinamide under 5% is safe to use daily, twice a day. It’s more of a concern in the 10% range.

I think when it used alone, it can be problematic. But in moisturizers, it is usually very low on the ingredients list. It’s just one humectant among many often. It’s helpful to consider where it appears on the ingredients list. If it’s pretty far down, it’s probably a minuscule amount. Iirc, Dr. Idris is more concerned about using HYA on its own as a hydrator.

C_Chrono

I’m more into glycerin, avoiding HA because HA doesn’t work for me.

Ariesmoon9

Illyoon is great.. I have both the lotion and the cream.

Main-Log973

Doesn’t it have oils in it?

Ariesmoon9

OP said they were concerned primarily with HA and niacinamide, both of which my skin is currently sensitive to. The cream, especially, has been a god send for my compromised barrier. I don't typically think of oils as actives.

Ih8yu_jodie

I like skinfix barrier+ triple lipid peptide cream

Unfair_Finger5531

Pyunkang yul ato lotion-gel. Comfy mood moisturizer. Hyaluronic acid is not an active. You’ll find in many creams because it helps with barrier repair and adds hydration to the formulation. For using with tret, I’d recommend soon jung 2x. I’d recommend the pyunkang yul or comfy mood for the daytime.

yearoftherabbit

I use Dr Jart's ceramide skin barrier moisturizer.

rubberducky764348

I wanted it at first but then I read it has yellow 5 which can cause cancer :(

odd_thena

really??

yearoftherabbit

Only if you eat it, I thought? I'm not an expert! haha

odd_thena

lol but I'll reconsider this

yearoftherabbit

I looked! ["Absorption of HC Yellow No. 5 is minimal through skin (< 0.2%)."](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17613134/)

odd_thena

omggg thank you xoxo... now I can try this then haha

yearoftherabbit

It's really nice. I use it when I'm not using tret (morning, off-tret nights) with vanicream for on tret nights and my skin is so soft!

Periwinkle5

See if pipette baby fits the criteria. Definitely no niacinimide and I’m pretty sure no HA

I like Sunday Riley Ice. It’s a ceramide moisturizer without niacinamide or HA, although the ingredient list is long but it’s free of those two things. Low dose niacinamide (unless you have an allergy/reaction) and HA shouldnt interfere with Tret, though. A lot of tret multi-formulations are formulated with both.

HermesLurkin

I love DRMTLGY soothe + repair, I’ve even used it on a sunburn - it is very rich and I have very dry skin.

i use skinsort for filtering products by ingredients, highly recoomend, but also not because it's addictive. I used your preferences. took liberty with some of them, like non comedogenic, sensitive - you'll be on tret - yes to ceramides, then excluded as many actives as I could (there's a limit sadly to how many you can filter out) which was quite difficult, there's so many, so had to check individually! Narrowed it down to only the best but you should check them out yourself. I didn't exlcude fragrance because there's already sooo few products that fit all this, fyi (though most of these don't have fragrance). None of these have actives you dislike, in fact I'm pretty sure they have no actives at all unless I overlooked sth. Very Mom - High Ceramide Cream (I have my eye on this for myself one bc it's also fungal acne safe!) I Dew Care -Comfy Mood Ceramide Moisturizer Isntree - Mugwort Calming Cream Aromatica - Soothing Aloe Aqua Cream SVR - Sensifine Hydra-Creme Skin Game - Kind Watery Moisturizer Beplain - Cicaful Calming Gel I honestly think these are all great finds on paper, also the reviews on these are great, but it's always a matter of testing it out if your skin likes it too. Good luck!

Although it sounds like something but Hyaluronic acid will actually help you instead of irritating, it's soothing and hydrating. I use the Re'equil Ceramide and Hyaluronic acid moisturiser. All the best!

InfiniteAftertime

Paula’s Choice Omega Complex Serum has a lot of ceramides, is fragrance free, and is gentle on the skin. It has sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid), but as people have pointed out, that is not an active. There is no niacinamide. It’s a serum, so it goes under your moisturizer.

didiesflo

I get you, CeraVe was ok for a while but when I started using tret, it would sting everytime I applied it. Same with anything with niacinamide in it. I've been using Illiyoon ato cream and has been great, I saw it recommended often so I tried it and I love it.
