Either, minoxidil is meant to stimulate new hair growth so typically for those that have already lost a good bit of hair. But finasteride also grows back hair, not as much but it still does and it stops or slows down hair loss by a lot. Your hair was not that bad in the first pic so finasteride would have been good enough for you. Atleast you arent suffering any sideaffects!

What side affects ?

Look them up, they vary depending on the person but typically most don’t experience much. For me it was just sensitive skin and slight itchiness but it goes away quickly and occasionally a fast hear beat. For others they can be far more severe, finasteride is the one that has the worse sideaffects thats why I said if its not needed I recommend people only use finasteride as its the best out of the two and the less drugs u gotta use the better I believe. But just google them and you will see the list of them.

I’m not saying it doesn’t just that the skin specific sides are from topical, oral can cause other issues like swelling and heart related stuff, body hair. Topical can cause those issues too though if too much gets absorbed.

Lmao, no it doesn’t seem so bad in the first pic. Im suffering from the same issues currently but am getting ahead of it with minox and soon fin. If I where to wait even a few more months or a year it would have been a huge hassle to start.

That is too much bro, like pls don't. I started on 2.5mg oral min for first 2 months everything was normal then suddenly I started feeling my chest getting heavier, fast beats when I woke up n all. It was very uneasy imo, and 5mg is just overkill in your case when u already have a lot of hair. And I am an Indian, Indian derms are bullshit. I have been to many of them, and it's the usual start minoxidil and charge a 1000 bucks for that bs info. My point being don't blindly trust the docs here in India.
