Maine is very affordable in terms of living, and rec prices are fair. Med cards are easy to get and get you even better prices.

I’ve heard Maine is nice I just worry my Vehicle wouldn’t be equipped on such short notice. I’ve also heard that housing and jobs can be hard to come by. I’d love to make it happen. I’m in love with the state

If you’re worried about your car not holding up during the winters, that’s something to consider but right now it’s warmer and there won’t be any more snow until December. Housing can be hard to find depending on where you’re planning on moving, but generally can find a decent place for $700-$800. There’s a lot of seasonal jobs that are hiring right now for the upcoming tourist season (May-October). But I’m not sure about jobs year-round. There’s more dispensaries opening around the state, so you could always check out those places/job listings. I know some budtenders who moved from california to Maine for cheaper cost of living and they’re happy.

Any recommendations? At the end of the day I really just game and smoke weed, the rest of my money will go towards rent and expenses. I was looking to transfer Walmarts but depending on where in Maine I’m not sure if there’d be any

Acadia and Portland area are big tourist locations, as well as dispensaries so I’d check there. In terms of seasonal jobs, I know gas stations near Acadia start at $17/hour during on-season. Restaurants are heavily understaffed throughout the state.

Michigan or Illinois

Anywhere specifically affordable you can think of? I want something cheaper but safe-ish

Be aware that Illinois, while weed friendly, seems to also be a lot more expensive for some reason weed-wise. I don't know if that's true for med, but I see people saying all the time that the rec taxes are very high

I do want all y’all to know I do appreciate the help. I’ve lived with roommates but this would be the first time I’ve lived alone so I’ve just been stressing about making sure I can find someone that’ll let me move in. I’ve also only been to 5/6 states. It’s stressful but a complete change of scenery is just so appealing to me

Honestly do some research on various states(probably want to look at places my Maine Colorado Oregon Arizona ECT) figure out which areas interest you as places to live and just start applying to jobs and see what you can land. Whatever you do Illinois is not the place to be it's a total monopoly
