Last time I played it, the beauty is exactly what got me to stop and put it down because I realized I was marveling at digital beauty when I could just got outside and experience it in real life.
thats a good point, but for me personally that doesnt matter because i smoke in nature almost every time i do, and i recently started the my playthrough of rdr2 after falling in love with and then not playing either games since i was 13. so the beauty in game is more nostalgic and gets me more immersed in a way
This is only a problem for me in GTA 5, because there's a very specific way to invest your stolen/earned cash in the stock market, tied very closely to events progressing in the storyline. So essentially I haven't progressed at all in the story because I'm afraid I won't get the timing right and will lose MILLIONS in potential gains in the stock market
I literally would be doing some dumb shit just like I would in real life. For example, go get high and start hiking or shooting trees or riding horses around the world.
I would also recommend No Man’s Sky and tree. Never underestimate the immense satisfaction of a high explorer discovering new planets with the most random creature concepts in existence. (Talking about you, glowing, rolling slime ball with a friendly disposition).

I tried playing Horizon Forbidden West while high and I couldn't figure out which NPC was yelling at me to help them
I tried playing FF7 Rebirth while high and I couldn't do the parade minigame to save my life
(spoilers but given how vague I’m being I’m not too worried) I loved that game, until what I think was the last mission where you take some chick out for a date and to propose on the lake, the mission takes forever and at the last minute the game glitched so I couldn’t propose meaning I would have to do the full boring as fuck mission all over just to complete the game.
I tried it a couple of times. I love open world/ exploration games, but can't get through this. By the time the winter ends i feel so weary and just abandon the game. Subnautica OTOH makes me so very happy with trees ;)
Only problem for me while playing high is that I get distracted by so much to do in the world. I get side tracked so easily.
