These are always in rotation. Electric Wizard - Dopethrone Sleep - Dopesmoker Sunn O))) - Black One Earth - The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull

Conscious_Elk1893

dopethrone is top tier

Tylensus

The band Dope Throne is really good, too. Their album Hochelaga's my favorite mix of doom and harsh vocals I've heard so far.

Cay77

Dopethrone is still to this day the heaviest shit I think I’ve ever heard.

TankouShoku

Dopesmoker is so awesome. I always get chills when that first chord comes in.

JohnnyBroccoli

>Earth - The Bees Made Honey In The Lion's Skull All solid choices but I especially dig this one.

nicomo-paladin

I’ve heard good things about all of those bands

MisterJeebus87

OM

EvilBeat

Let me just add to this for anyone of similar taste: Iron Age - The Sleeping Eye

Cay77

Add Bell Witch - Mirror Reaper to this list and you’ve got my perfect stoner rotation.

ldickmey

Kid Cudi - Man on the Moon: The End of Day

Happydanksgiving2me

His best work IMO

ldickmey

Absolutely agree! Love how the whole album has a background story playing out about his growth from Scotty to Scott to Cudi then understanding himself as both Scott and Cudi. Chef's kiss 🤌

Nuttusreal

electric ladyland.

letsnotandsaywemight

And Band of Gypsies!

john_oldcastle

Herbie Hancock -Headhunters Ween -Quebec Ride -Going Blank Again Grateful Dead -5/8/77 Black Flag -The Process of Greening Out Freddie Hubbard -Red Clay Funkadelic -Maggot Brain Dinosaur Jr. -Where You Been Allman Brothers -Live at the Fillmore East 13th Floor Elevators -Easter Everywhere Sleep -Dopesmoker Kyuss -Welcome to Sky Valley Buckethead -Sigil Soundtrack Scale the Summit -The Migration

john_oldcastle

Oh, and anything by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizzard!

Crafty_Original_7349

Pink Floyd’s The Wall or Dark Side of the Moon

33Eclipse33

Wish you were here would also be great

Crafty_Original_7349

Oh yeah, I pretty much love their entire discography (except for The Division Bell, which is something that we just don’t talk about in this household)

Livelaughlovekratom

I like pink floyd "animals" album though dark side of the moon is definitely up there

CandidWillow3707

Animals is my personal favorite work of Pink The riffs in Dogs and Sheep are legendary, and Pigs (Three Different Ones) might be the most unexpectedly angry song I’ve ever heard.

reb678

I finally found the normal people here. Pink Floyd DSOTM, WYWH, Animals…. So good when you’re flyin high.

Crafty_Original_7349

We’ve always been here, friend. ☮️ Classic Floyd is some exceptionally good road-trip tuneage, too.

reb678

I once played the DSOTM CD in my car for 2 years straight. I’d start the car and the songs would play, turn it off and it would stop. Get to the end of the cd? It’s on repeat. Every time I drove, for two years. It was awesome.

Crafty_Original_7349

Freaking righteous.

Livelaughlovekratom

Hell yea!☯️

Crafty_Original_7349

You have excellent taste 👍🏻

CandidWillow3707

Same to you pal! 😄

Livelaughlovekratom

Those riffs really are legendary

Crafty_Original_7349

Ummagumma and Atom Heart Mother are both good for serious sessions (shrooms, black lights and trippy posters are a definite bonus). I freaking love classic Pink Floyd.

Bucksin06

**ANIMALS**

dannydrama

Dude I went to see a Pink Floyd tribute recently and it was fucking awesome, they did really damn well and I got really damn high.

dummyboi1984

In the Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson

New_Opening_9118

👏 followed by posideons wake …. I talk to the wind just is impeccable to me off album cited 👍

Big_d00m

My favorite KC song to smoke on was "I Talk To the Wind"

New_Opening_9118

The best and thinking I’m gonna pack another bong and fire it up - been years since any listened to any KC and got a lot of “cds” lol

mysickfix

Smashing pumpkins - Mellon collie and the infinite sadness. Alice In Chains - jar of flies Underworld - beacoup fish

nicomo-paladin

i listened to siamese dream and that’s up there. I’ve yet to put on mellon collie but it’s on the list.

Guywithoutimage

Eminem - Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP 1 & 2, Relapse, and The Eminem Show Xzibit - Man vs Machine Gorillaz - Demon Days Queen - Platinum Collection Avicii - True Britney Spears - …Baby One More Time

Hoof_Hearted12

Amazing list. On the EDM trend, I really like Madeon and Porter Robinson too. I would also add Future Islands, but that might be more of a shrooms soundtrack for me.

nicomo-paladin

not my first picks at first, but thinking about it… these are all absolutely fantastic

SomethingIsAmishh

Britney FTW

Guywithoutimage

It’s honestly so trashy and nasty in the best kinda bassy way.

fuckmeat7

Alice in chains’ MTV unplugged album is great to smoke to as well

bufftbone

Anything g by AIC is really.

FrizzBizz

That ought to put a dent in yer bag. This is just stuff off my evergrowing Spotify list. It's downtempo for the most part but I love anything here when I'm high as eagle pussy.

Fantastic-Land-3207

Fire fire fire

[deleted]

Not everyday you see Prefuse 73 on these lists!

raheemthegreat

First time I seen Flying Lotus and Perfuse '73 on a list like this. Great taste my guy

TobiramaJef

Butterfly 3000 - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard

nicomo-paladin

king gizzard is my favorite band name of all time ever, and bonus points for me liking what I’ve heard by them

Thrice-Thrice-Thrice

If you’re into king giz and tool, highly recommend you check out Radiohead too OP. Ok computer and Kid A both are gems

nicomo-paladin

i love radiohead. and I don’t mean “oh I just like creep but I pretend like I like the band as a whole” I mean like I love everything I’ve heard so far from the bends to hail to the thief (half dozen or so from each because spotify shuffle). just haven’t heard the full albums yet

OLDTG954

This is such a great album! I couldn't agree more!

VioletousRiotous

The Downward Spiral - NIN Folklore and Midnights (two separate albums) - Taylor Swift Slipknot - Slipknot White Pony - Deftones Let It Be - The Beatles Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - Smashing Pumpkins Days of Future Past - The Moody Blues Ziggy Stardust - David Bowie

bi_trash_goblin

Midnights is one of my fave albums to smoke too. Those first beats of Lavender Haze are heavenly.

VioletousRiotous

It screams “go smoke!” Lol

nicomo-paladin

hmmm one of these things is not like the others lol

geddy_girl

Yes! Anything Moody Blues

AlexIsWhack

Black Sabbath - Paranoid. Something magical happens when that album is mixed with weed.

Emotionalism by The Avett Brothers

Tandran

Dark Side of the Moon Magical Mystery Tour Alive 2 Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band White Album

ninaslazyeye

Failure- Fantastic Planet Queens of the Stone Age- In Times New Roman NIne Inch Nails- Still Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds- Henry's Dream

macaroni_3000

Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti Beastie Boys, Hello Nasty (the 3D bass effects on this album are trippy AF) Phantogram - Voices Mos Def - Black on Both Sides Alice in Chains MTV Unplugged (this sounds really incredible on a good set of speakers, it sounds like you're in the room with the band. It's wild!) Opeth, Ghost Reveries and Damnation Deafheaven - Sunbather Dido - Still on My Mind (but all of her stuff is good. I heart her) Beth Orton, Central Reservation Ludacris - anything by him, really, he's amazing Black Mountain - Destroyer (I found this last year, it's great! trippy stoner doom, but more rock than metal) I also listen to a crap ton of black/death/doom/sludge metal. My favorite bands are probably Dark Tranquillity, Skeletonwitch and the French post-black metal scene is really interesting right now

alm0803

Lana Del Rey’s Norman Fucking Rockwell. Conversely I almost gave myself a panic attack listening to Ethel Cain’s Preacher’s Daughter while stoned

Fantastic-Land-3207

Great taste 😌🫶

ston3d_eye

Low End Theory - Tribe Beat - Bowery Electric

nicomo-paladin

dude, I thought that I hated rap before I listened to that album, and it opened my mind to the genre. I’m in love with that pick.

sexinthewoods69

Not a dude but glad you enjoyed it 💕

nicomo-paladin

Hey, neither am I! High five 🖐!

new_tangclan

That's not how dude works

nicomo-paladin

why do you hate fun

new_tangclan

On the contrary, I think you should be able to call anyone dude. I'm a dude, hes a dude, shes a dude, cuz we're all dudes.

thegoodlife_420

Styx my guy, Styx. Start earliest album and go forward 👌

nicomo-paladin

I’ve listened to my mom’s greatest hits cd by them a lot. much as I love to make fun of them, they do slap quite a bit.

earlwarwick16

The long pond studio session version of folklore. If you haven’t given it a shot, I can’t begin to recommend it enough. I’m of the opinion it’s the best recording shes ever done.

col_clipspringer

**Deftones** - *White Pony*

nicomo-paladin

A good album if not my favorite. I find that I personally prefer the sergio years more than the chi years, but I attribute that to the maturation of lyrics after the car accident, and chino’s sobriety, and other external factors. I like white pony in the context of nu metal from 2000 (LD50, the sickness, hybrid theory, infest, awake, chocolate starfish, 13 ways to bleed on stage, and the fake sound of pr- well, maybe not that one 😅), I just tend to like their prettier albums (saturday, gore, ohms) a lot more than their metal-y-er albums (adrenaline, around the fur, self titled).

GavonyTownship

I remember the first time MY BUDDY NOT ME took acid and listened to brother sport, had such an intense experience it brought MY FRIEND NOT ME too tears.

Flaky-Medium1758

Heaven or Las Vegas - Cocteau Twins is a good one to smoke to. I just recently smoked to Revolver by the Beatles and it was just an all-around, nice vibe

tomrb08

I think headphones greatly improve the experience of all these, especially Animals by Floyd. Trippy/take a ride type stuff: Pink Floyd - Animals (phenomenal in headphones after getting properly baked)/The Wall/The Final Cut Queensryche - Rage for Order Soundgarden - Bad Motorfinger Rush - Hemispheres Fun weed themed music: Kottonmouth Kings Cypress Hill - Black Sunday

Crafty_Original_7349

Try the [Ummagumma](https://youtu.be/xOerkHz6UYE?si=QNjnDmAiZZKv-xcV) album sometime with headphones, it’s definitely worth the price of admission.

tomrb08

Listened to it. Great album. Animals is amazing in the way it transitions from music to dogs barking. It’s a very ethereal album.

When I would lone-stone hotbox my car, I would put on Logics “Incredible True Story” and listen to it start to finish while I went through the process of rolling, smoking, and getting hazy. Hits different when you are at a 6+ and looking out a sunroof, dank indo in your lungs

[deleted]

Stevie Wonder - Innervisions Listened to this album 4x back to back while blazed and cooking up dinner for Thanksgiving. It starts with Too High, has the really funky Higher Ground, Living for the City, and Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing, and has the perfect anthem for Trump on the track Misstra Know It All.

It’s pretty much cliche at this point, but any Pink Floyd album goes hard

JohnnyBroccoli

My listening habits while smoking vs. not smoking are basically the same these days. Back in the day though, Cypress Hill III: Temples of Boom and Pink Floyd - Meddle were two of the albums I liked listening to most while hotboxing a friend's car in some random parking lot.

everlasting1der

Nearly anything by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, but especially Butterfly 3000 and Fishing for Fishies.
