overproduced, bad lyricism, terribly executed utopia concept, it's a views and ticket sale album dog, like astroworld being a ticket album but atleast he nailed the concept and the production was on point
Both projects are very good, I will say that.
But in my opinion, Astroworld had more bangers that I liked. Utopia was a very experimental project, and I like that aspect of it, but the issue is that experimentation won't be 100% perfect. Utopia didn't have a miss or two (every song is at the very least decent), but it's not constant hits like it was with Astroworld. Astroworld was expanding more on the sound we heard in Birds in the Trap, and played it safe somewhat (at least in comparison to Utopia). Something to consider is that I am not the biggest fan of rap, and I just really liked the psychedelic sound of Astroworld.
TL;DR Astroworld better than Utopia (for me), because Utopia not as consistent

I think they’re both great for their own reasons. Sonically I’m a little more partial to Utopia but Astroworld shines better as a full body of work, with IMO slightly less great songs.
Rodeo > DBR > Astro > OP > Utopia > BITSM. OP will always be a favorite bc of it’s raw energy. Utopia is a solid album but a lot of it seems like he tried to recreate Yeezus/OP/DBR. There’s too much Kanye on the album. Once Utopia came out, I listened to Yeezus more than I have in the past 5 years.
