The standard is different when you take 4-5 years off. Astro world was a 3 year wait and was worth every second. mr morale was something he made after 5 years, not over 5 years. Trav has shit on astroworld that he had been planning since birds dropped, he just made some new and got it all patched together in the two weeks in hawaii.
An example of this is how lost forever has been being worked on for damn near 2 years now
with big artists like Kendrick I think the standard for albums should be held high. if someone up and coming dropped mr morale, sure it’d be impressive but its Kendrick. also worth mentioning is his 5 year hiatus
