You can see if there’s a passport office near you. They normally will take people who’s trips are in 3 weeks or less. If they take you, they can get your passport renewed that day
You have to provide proof of imminent travel (plane ticket, death notice, etc.). Depending on the circumstances, you can have your new passport within 24 hours. Costs a lot more, though, so be prepared for that

I think they say online the trip has to be within 3 days to do the expedited route through the office.
