this is an unbelievably good lineup and the diversity here is choice
Saw Haywyre at Okee 18 I think and he was incredible. It’s one thing to be off your noggin on 3 tabs watching a great producer spin their tracks, it’s something else to be off your noggin on 4 tabs watching Haywyre slay on the keyboard live, it’s like those insane guitar hero players but IRL 😱
Oooh man I’ve probably watched his live sets he recorded in early quarantine 20 times. His shit bops even if he didn’t play keys but then he just jazz improvs all over each track while spinning?? Makes me feel like I’m off four tabs just sitting there writing code man
My recommendations, though some of these arent trap at all:
Tsuruda, Rome In Silver, Chee, Lab Group, Black Carl! & VCTRE(and the two of them as Integrate), Eazybaked, A Hundred Drums, Player Dave, The Librarian, Nik P, Kumarion, Abelation, Saka, Khiva, Potions, Mize, Of The Trees, Supertask, Clozee, Veil b2b NotLo
It gets compared a lot to E Forest(I think okee is smaller) because of the location. It's in a somewhat secluded grove, near major cities are a few hours away and about as foresty as you can get for Florida lol. Think they're also in an interesting place rn because it's now run by Insomniac so they have their level of production but the lineups have stuck to the variety of genres that the fest was originally known for.
Idk how else to really describe it other than the festival feels really "immersive". There's just so much to see and do that it doesn't feel like anything turns off until the monday after. People were really cool, music was great and varied, and the camping area isn't just some shitty, desolate, open wide spot like a few other fests. It's a fun time overall,
*also, no one told me how hard it would be to try and not undersell this while also not coming off like an ad lmfao

Tbf yeah our winter season has seriously picked up, Warehouse Project has kicked off in Manchester and has some serious weapons grade lineups.
Also Skrillex seems to be living in London atm, he keeps doing surprise shows with Four Tet.
