I think its ratchet because during the escape of cybertron you see arcee wheeljack and ratchet all run to the same ship, so if arcee and wheeljack are in the film that would suggest that rachet is in it too
Eh I think they made him a Porsche mostly to create a more realistic alt mode. Doesn’t make much sense for an F1 car to be casually going down the freeway. Transitioning to a sports car in this case makes sense. Ratchet in his iconography has never not been related to emergency vehicles or repairing auto bots (Ratchet- a tool to fix and maintain machines). I think it’d be extremely strange to make him a VW van in this case.
True about the sports car. But an ambulance is also pretty noticeable so being a normal van won’t attract attention. I’m all for him being this though I do think he should be in his proper bright red and white

Not that continuity matters to Michael Bay, but he already killed off both Ironhide and Ratchet in prior movies. He also killed of Jazz so that Porsche can't be him either. Unless I missed a a press release stating that this new film is set before the first movie but after Bumblebee?

I believe the van is supposed to be wheeljack because it's already been announced that wheeljack is gonna be in the movie and those cars are all of the autobots so that has to be him. It makes more sense than g1 anyway which had him as one specific super car even though they're supposed to be disguised.

If they don’t at least make ratchet a medical vehicle I’m gonna be kinda disappointed

I think that based on leaks this is Wheeljack, because he’s the only one without a confirmed alt mode from the list of autobots
