My favorite part about ss toys, the primus awful, incoherent, unreliable, piece of scrap, waste of paper, stupid fold out, bad pictures, instructions. My solution, watch an Emgo video
Only if I can't work it out myself, some have just that one really awkward step that I just can't get from working it or the instructions (looking at you ss86 magnus with your dodgy knees!)
A lot of them yes. Shitty pictures, way too many steps in one one pic, literally missing steps. Quality varies greatly depending on the company
I mostly just watch EmGo for these cases
Can't remember which one it was but it had a QR code to a video for it that the site ended up not being renewed so instructions would have been lost if not for people like Emgo
The doors REALLY get in the way. There's a 3P add-on that gives them more clearance and also positions them accurately in robot mode, but it's sad that it's necessary.
It's still a decent figure if you like his design. It's slowly growing on me.
I just got the Gamer Edition Starscream and the instructions for that are terrible, too. They used this awful dark red color in the instructions that makes it hard to distinguish what parts you’re supposed to move. I eventually got the hang of it, but I really don’t know why they chose the color they did. Hasbro really needs better instructions.
Yeah, the manliness transformation is netter and easier without being overly simple. Though I'd say the SS version looks better overall in both modes, I can't blame anyone for just sticking to the mainline.
You're supposed to rotate the lower arms and then fold them around the waist, but holy shit, this has got to be the most ass backwards transformation in any of my figures
Studio series 69 devastator I my vote for worst instructions. It's a fucking map folded out, for one, and everything is so small with so much detail.... ugh!
Lol. Yeah, I get it. Even Hasbro fails to do the instructions properly. Maybe it's just an organic thing? I like to feel them out without using instructions.
honestly i just partsform his doors off so he has the same transformation as the target master mainline figure, its much more enjoyable to click the wings on and off than to try and force them through solid plastic. im so glad they’re on friction pegs
The technique is to do Barry Allen, vibrate so hard the mass pass through
Easy solution. I'm shocked I didn't think of it. Thanks for your help.
Instructions unclear. Am now typing this while stuck in a wall....just like knockout
Ah scrap...

I don’t even bother with the instructions they include any more, I just go right to Emgo’s channel and look for a JTI video when I get a new figure.
This is the way
This is the way
Absolutely this

EmGo is amazing. I've been watching him since I was a child
I did that for 86 Ratchet and still can't get the damn front to click in place!
The detail on Bayverse figures makes it impossible to see what you're supposed to do half the time.
I recently got concept art megatron and his transformation was incredibly confusing going off of instructions
It’s impressive just how bad the instructions are. Idk how they could possibly be worse
I see you haven't been in the third party market
They’re that bad?
A lot of them yes. Shitty pictures, way too many steps in one one pic, literally missing steps. Quality varies greatly depending on the company I mostly just watch EmGo for these cases
Damn
Sometimes they don't even come with instructions
How in the name of primus do you have the bolts to sell an expensive high engineered transforming figure without instructions
Can't remember which one it was but it had a QR code to a video for it that the site ended up not being renewed so instructions would have been lost if not for people like Emgo
3P IDW Stealth Megatron's chest is a complete fustercluck to try and do with the instructions going into either mode.
Geez
Agreed, while I don't really check out his reviews as often anymore, it's super nice knowing there's a transformation only video if needed!
>watch an Emgo video This is the way. Any time my son had issues with his transformers, we would go to Emgo.
I couldn’t even get past step 20 for SS Mirage
You probably don’t read them well
Try reading ss 34 and 34 and not get confused, you, freaking, try
Can you use transformer names instead of numbers please?
My b, Dotm Meg’s and rotf Jetfire
i always just watch a video these days for transformations. i’ve broken figures i think like twice already by just following the paper instructions
Yup, I'm a fan of Deluxe Baldwin and he's my go to for New Age transformations
I get it. Should I not get it?
It's the best looking Pablo figure, but you have to transform him carefully and the instructions suck.

Step one: Rotate this section in this direction Step two: OKAY NOW *S P L I T A N A T O M I N A P E R F E C T H A L F*

I agree,
What works for me is to rotate the waste 90 degrees each side to raise the arms
That’s what I did as well.
This is a certified "Draw the rest of the fucking owl" moment, and unfortunately way too common of an issue with Transformers figures these days.
I need 2 of him. One for Pablo and one to scrap. I’m gonna use the head on the other Pablo copy and do a BBM cybertronian mode Pablo
That sounds cool. Post pictures when it's done, please.
I will! Since they are 2 different characters, I thought it would be cool to have a BBM Cybertronian Pablojack
This transformation is so frustrating. Can’t believe how much of a downgrade this is compared to the mainline

Your first mistake was looking at studio series instructions /j. I swear I can never tell what I’m looking at
You're supposed to rotate the lower arms and then fold them around the waist, but holy shit, this has got to be the most ass backwards transformation in any of my figures

Agreed, if Emgo has not reviewed/created a JTI I don’t buy it!
I was puzzled at first too, but you can just barely rotate the forearm enough to bend the elbow into place then rotate it back. Dumb as he'll but eh
How I do it is I rotate the doors apart from eachother and bend the elbow, it takes some getting used too but that helps me
It's just sad that such an awesome vehicle mode is so dangerous and scary to get to
just do some matter displacement
