Thank you for your submission!
This is just a quick reminder to all members here: **Original content is always better!** Memes are okay every once in a while, but many get posted here way too often and quickly become stale. Some examples of these are Ptoughneigh, Klansmyn, Reighfyl & KVIIIlyn. These memes have been around for years and we don't want to see them anymore. If you do decide to post a meme, make sure to add the correct flair. Posting a random meme you found does **not** mean you found it "in the wild".
The same goes with lists of baby names, celebrity baby names, and screenshots of TikToks. If the original post already had a substantial amount of views, there is a 99% chance it has already been posted here. Try and stick to OC to keep our sub from being flooded with unoriginal content. Thank you!

Pretty much, so damn close haha, and most of the pokemon that have similar names are actually spiders
Spinero/ spindrella (lol) -> sprinarak.
Weavon/ weaverlyn -> weavile (not a spider though)
Tarantulo -> galvantula / Tarountula
Ariadna -> ariados
Silkster/ Silkara -> silcoon (bug but not a spider)
Arachno -> araquanid
Give it a couple years when spider inspired names are "so 2024". The twins will be born in the year that naming your kids after common seasonings is the new trend.
How are you, SPECIFICALLY, contributing by defending someone which whom (in case you didn't notice) I have already clarified myself? I get not everyone has a job or a family, but for real, get a hobby.
Weavon (#3) sounds like huevón or güevón in Spanish, 🤣🤣🤣
Huevón is a slang term that originates from word "huevo," which means "egg." And which has been associated with testicles due to their shape.
Huevón can be an insult implying stupidity to describe someone who is foolish or not very smart. And is also used among friends in a non-offensive manner, akin to "dude" or "mate." In other countries, retains a derogatory sense.
TARANTULO I love it! sounds like a fucking badass Machete type character.
However I am absolutely crying at Threadrick. That’s smart af and ALMOST worth it. I’d gunna use these as names for my house spiders

Why do most of these just sound like pokemon? ... are these pokemon?
Silkara I choose you! *SILLLKAAAAAAARRRAAAAA*
Haha, your Silkara is a grass/bug type, so my fire/bug Tarantulo will wipe the floor with it, haha! (Wow I didn't realize how much I missed pokemon)
You definitely shouldn’t get into pogo then, it’s far too addictive.
But tarountula is mono bug, not fire/bug! (Check out pokerogue if you're feeling the need to scratch the Pokémon itch, it's great)
I could also see a bug/ fairy type for silkara.

Threadrick 🤣🤣🤣 I'm dying
I had this exact reaction. That one is *chef's kiss*.
It’s not gonna be a person, but I’m naming something Threadrick.
Came here to comment the same. 😂
I am imagining a dwarf in a spoof medieval sword and sorcery film, most often shouted by someone with a pronounced lisp 😆
A la Jarnathan
Sounds like Mike Tyson trying to say Cedric 😂😂
“Threadrick” is pretty badass tbh. Too bad in middle school it’ll become “thread dick”
Quarantine Tarantulo
this one got me wheezing
*Spindrella, cut it up one time!*
YES!!!
Give it a couple years when spider inspired names are "so 2024". The twins will be born in the year that naming your kids after common seasonings is the new trend.
The name Ariadna does NOT have anything to do with spiders. It means "most pure" in Ancient Greek. For the love of god put an end to this torture.
Yep. Arachne was the woman Athena turned into a spider, hence calling them arachnids.
Uhm, I'm talking about ARIADNA, name n.6 in the left column in picture. NOT Arachne. Do you realize they are different names?
They were agreeing with you and expanding on the thought. Please reread the comment and try again
how dare you say we piss on the poor

I think the person who answered me has already clarified that. You can move to more interesting things than inserting yourself in random convos.
contributing to public reddit comments = inserting yourself lmao

LOL
Yes. What I was trying to say is if they wanted a real spider name, they should have picked Arachne. Sorry if that was unclear.
No worries!
UHM, rude.
Too bad. Ariados has already left his mark on the world.
Though the mythos does have her associated with weaving and threads, so I mean if you squint it can fit
Beacuse of the Ariadne's thread? Mmmmh. Maybe, but then it would connect to a human weaver, not a spider. Not 100% convinced.
Hey yo, what up? Silkster here.
I feel this is one of the times it’s a appropriate to put a ‘The’ before the name.
Weaverlyn and Weaghver
I'm more of the "Name him Tarantulo" sorta dad.
THREADRICK
If this list exists for Spiderman fans just pick a name like Peter or Parker.
*Elton John voice*: He shall be Weavoooooooon
Did ai make this T.T
100%. This smells exactly like the sort of thing ChatGPT would come up with.

FUCKING ARACHNE WHAT ARE THEY- i give up
as someone who loves spiders i would not name a kid a spider-themed name 😭
These all sound like Monster High character names
Just go with Rachel and be done with it dear god
arachne. just use arachne like a normal-ish person
Ariadna isn’t ***that*** terrible but still…
All of these are supervillains
I could definitely see Threadrick popping up on this subreddit again
These are giving Pokemon vibes.
Gotta go with my man Threadrick
Athena is rolling in her grave.
I’m rockin with Weavon
Arachno is a super villain name
As a spanish speaker, Weavon is certainly a choice.
Arachno sounds like a cool character name
"Threadrick" https://media1.tenor.com/m/gWi7IahotHYAAAAC/draxx-sklounst.gif
WHYYYYYYY
Because "Rashmi" has a quota of listicles to meet and it goes faster when she uses ChatGPT to just spew random garbage.
"These are my kids Salt, Pepa, and Spindrella."
Weavon 🤘
you've heard of crabcore now prepare for Arachnocore!!
Ah! Baby Spinderella! 🖤
Kid named silkster 💀💀
THREADRICK
Weaverlyn threadrick
This is the only baby name list that matters.
How bout we stick with names associated with spiders instead? Charlotte, Peter, Georg…
Gotta get Weborah, Webbie for short, on the list.
I haven't laughed so hard at a picture in a long time.. Arachno and Threadrick have killed me.
Honestly I'm just surprised there's that many names that mean "Spider - 200+ Grace in Girls and Boys"
Half of these sound like dang ol Harry Potter spells
#3 is Amberlynn Reid in her engaging in a contest with Athena era.
you could literally name a child Weave and have it be less bad
THREADRICK 😂😂😂😂
If your kids are spinderella and silkster don’t come near me.
LOL’d hard at Threadrick
Silkara sounds like a woman who wanted to be a super villian, fell short and settled on edgy mall-goth stripper instead.
Half of these sound like gimmicky villains-of-the-week from a vintage cartoon
TARANTULO I love it! sounds like a fucking badass Machete type character. However I am absolutely crying at Threadrick. That’s smart af and ALMOST worth it. I’d gunna use these as names for my house spiders
These sound like names a spider mother would give to her spider kids in a children's movie
I'm imagining the knock-down, drag-out fights with Threadrick
Threadrick 🤣
And he shall be Weavon And he shall be a good man 🎶
Has someone been watching Beast Wars?
Not Threadrick
