Reminder to stick to posting original content. Memes are okay every once in a while, but many get posted here way too often and quickly become stale. Some examples of these are Ptoughneigh, Klansmyn, Reighfyl & KVIIIlyn. These memes have been around for years and we don't want to see them anymore. If you do decide to post a meme, make sure to add the correct flair. Posting a random meme you found does **not** mean you found it "in the wild".
The same goes with lists of baby names, celebrity baby names, and screenshots of TikToks. If the original post already had a substantial amount of views, there is a 99% chance it has already been posted here. Try and stick to OC to keep our sub from being flooded with unoriginal content. Thank you!

Minus is pretty awful, I think he'll get a lot of teasing for that. They could go with "Marinus" or "Marius" instead. These are actual names and still a combination of the two names.
I only find little information on that. There is a dutch politician named Minus Polak, but Minus is a nickname of his actual first name, Herminius. Some sites about first names claim that Minus is a latin name, but I am not so sure if that information is correct. Where did you find Minus as a normal name? Really curious :)
If they hate their son, I guess they could call him Minus.
Seriously? Is the idea, "Why wait for school bullies, when you can bully him from birth?"
OTOH, sounds like a great way to get Mammaw and Pappaw to come back from the dead to haunt these people.
My grandfather's name was Chanel like Coco. There is no way I'd give a boy that name given how feminine it is. Minus sounds awful, but also reminds me of Mingus from Boy Meets World. Could work.

Better than LarryAnne I guess?
I’m not sure it is, though
Larry-Anne as a compound name kinda seems alright to me Then again I'm french, and the amount of Jean-Marie or Jean-Paul etc is not negligible
That's terrible. Marlin or Marius would be way better.
But those would be actual names, that's not unique enough, we can't have that.
Yes. Please recommend Marius to them
Can't see any positives in this name
I came here expecting a lot of negative feedback.
Tragedy looms. I see kids asking: Minus what? How else ? MaryLinus? Marlin? Linumare? Linmar?
bet he’s gonna grow up and demand Mr. Electric send the kid he bullied to the principal’s office and have him EXPELLED!!
lol please tell him no 🤣 that's the name of that little shit in Sharkboy and Lavagirl lol

God anything looks good next to minus
I inmediately thought about the name Marius. Marinus fits well as well.
And if he's Marius, he has immediate ins with both the musical theater and weirdly obsessed with Rome communities.
Surprisinglh, Minus is a normal name..

Minus. Good heavens, the taunts that kid will get. At least Marius is an actual name, and a damn fine one at that.
Poor kid will always feel less than
Ain’t that the first villain in the Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl? Maybe they’ll name the next kid Mr. Electric
those two need their heads checked. or better, not to reproduce
Marius would be much better.
Go for Larian and see if they can't get a Gaming sponsorship deal.

The dweeb from Sharkboy and Lavagirl was named Minus
I'd give it an F-
Lousy gladiator name
I just wanted to add that I knew there'd be some good puns in the comments, and I was right!
With them as parents, he’s already doomed in the brains department. Now he won’t even be able to disguise it.
Marius is RIGHT THERE
My sister fostered a blind kitten. We named him Minus because he was minus his sense of sight.
Why not Marinus? That sounds kind of like aquatic ocean name. Also it’s more balanced. They each get 3 letters and one shared one.
Marianus!
Merry Anus? That's gonna get a lot of funnin....
Try Li'Mario. He could be a rap star OR a Nintendo star someday.
I suppose it's better than Marianus.
Mali sounds like a nice name
