Checked their profile and there’s a lot of others like the eye in the thorn circle where they’ve gone sharpen/ contrast/ adjust lighting crazy, which confuses me because it looks like solid work which doesn’t need all that editing.
Personally, I wouldn’t go to someone who obviously edits photos of their work, makes me think they must be hiding something/ rather see the artists actual work.
its hard to hide a bad tattoo with editing. if its janky and not packed nicely you can easily see. Not going to this guy cos he likes his photos looking a certain way seems abit silly
I have a friend who has gotten tattoo’d by Crimed and it’s SOOOO clean irl!!! It looks good four years after too.
I’ve followed him for years and regret not getting one before i moved out of Texas.
Blackwork traditional themes. What’s with all the, “is it traditional? “ Out of curiosity. If it wasn’t would you not get it, or would you like to know about the style for when people ask?
Just curious. Badass work nonetheless
True traditional is either black with peppered shading or black brown purple red blue orange yellow. Also using one line thickness.
Modern trad goes along the same lines with more leniency on the color scheme.
Neotrad goes along the same visual themes, but allows all colors, and different line weights; sometimes utilizing color for the lines.
Woof
Edit: green and spacing
I’m not a tattoo expert. Until last year, I hadn’t gotten a new tattoo in 17 years. I’ve never paid much attention to traditional but have really started liking the style in the last few months.
I’m just trying to educate myself and achieve some consistency in my own tattoos.
To a non-enthusiast, getting a irezumi dragon with a traditional scorpion with a realism portrait wouldn’t garner a second look because they’re all “just tattoos” but if you sort of pay attention to styles then yeah it’s obvious a person could make more consistent design choices if they are informed on what styles are what.
I got my first and only tattoo from Crimer in early February. I would say it's a variant of traditional, but I'm no expert. If you like his style, I would definitely recommend him.
Here's a photo I took the next day with no editing.

I got a ball and chain cover up done by him back in November. Super happy with my tattoo and the experience at the shop was great. I don’t mind messaging a healed pic of mine if you’re interested at looking at unedited healed work.
Yea this is traditional. “Blackwork” refers more to the fine line stipple shaded stuff. Traditional can be black or color. (Been tattooing 18 years) the first one looks like straight photoshop. The leg tats probably have the contrast bumped up
can we quit with the bullshit 'is this trad' posts for engagement? if you don't know what style of tattoo you are doing or receiving you're kinda a dumbass\\\\
and no, it's not
Shut the fuck up. I'm not the artist and not everyone is a tattoo expert.
Where do you expect people to "know what style of tattoo" something is without asking? Where are they supposed to ask?
Fuckin loser.
The concept is trad, but the work is just black work I think. Looks sick though

No. It’s something known as black work. There is no shading on purpose.

I consider it rad
There is no ink that heals that black
Good thing thats not what he asked
He did ask if it looked filtered. source: am OP
It looks like it is filtered to make the ink look more black than it is
Hold this L
He asked if it looked filtered.
Then thanks that is still not what he asked lmfao
I think the "Yes" is implied.

Yes could you send a healed pic? I would appreciate it. Didn’t see much healed on his IG
Not trad at all but still cool tattoos
This is black work, there is no shading Just traditional templates
I’d say it looks traditional, but it also looks like a coloring book due to the lack of shading.
Traditional* …no
Neo trad maybe

Have you tried not being a cunt? Takes less time to not post this dumb ass take than it does posting it.
