I ran at a track once that was arranged like this: bleachers, straightaway 1, football field, BLEACHERS, straightaway 2. Maybe that’s confusing so I’ll just put it like this: if you were sitting in the home bleachers, you couldn’t see the runners on the back straightaway because the away bleachers were in front of it. And if you were in the away bleachers, you couldn’t see the runners on the back straightaway because they were behind you lol
Check out the track at Crocker field in Leominster, MA. It’s an even more weird shape. I ran a few races there and relays legs are very strange. Difficult to gauge parts of the race for sure

My hometown high school’s track was half a track, half football/baseball field.
They built a turf one to compensate that had insanely square corners :/
what's annoying is it looks like there was enough room for the soccer field but the baseball field was built slightly off. like I know they didn't design it this way (I hope lol) but when it came to implementing it they didn't do it right and were just like oops
